What were you doing at 5:00a.m.?

I was dragging Garth out of bed...literally.
He told me to wake him up because he wanted to go to the gym with me. I think he thought I was not actually going to wake up when the alarm went off. But, surprisingly, I did! After two weeks of ignoring my alarm at 5a.m. I was impressed that my eyes popped open and I jumped out of bed. I guess the fact that my wedding dress fit was the inspiration. YAYAYA!
I think this annoyed Garth because he was not happy about getting out of bed. The poor guy was so sleepy during coffee and prayer time. BUT he had a great workout and was glad he went with me!
In our attempt to be healthier and to avoid ordering take-out, Garth and I made a meal plan for the week:

Monday 5-Veggie Stir-Fry
Tuesday Garlic Chicken Pasta
Wednesday Italian chicken with edamame
Thursday Baked Pesto Chicken
Friday Sushi with Eric and Jess on the way to the Halloween Party!

We do allow ourselves one night to go out, and it's usually Friday date night! I'll keep you posted on how this plan goes!
And, dear friends, of course I will post pictures of our White Trash Wedding Pary costumes! And here is the mystery dinner recipe made last week.=) Happy Monday!

I heart meal planning. It's a sickness. Go back in my archives and check it out...:) But seriously, I have lost over 6lbs since I started doing it this summer and cut our grocery bill by over $100/month. It is amazing what happens when you only buy stuff you need! And, we were still ordering out once a week (on Sunday nights) and usually going out on Fridays or Saturdays, too.

Good luck, if you stick with it, it really gets to be so easy and such a blessing! Let me know if you need any advice or suggestions!

And um, working out at 5 am? My gosh you are awesome!

Yummy recipes. Let me know how they turn out!

And kudos to you for getting up early to workout. I have always wanted to get up and get my workout over with before work so that I can have my evening to relax, but it just never happened!

Ohhh I am so bad at meal planning. We always make a plan, and then we blow it because something comes up.

I do love my crock pot though. I use that at least twice a week.

I have been thinking I should start meal planning more but just haven't gotten around to doing it.

I love edamame as well. It's great healthy snack!

I'm so proud of you! I am slowly working on getting up earlier. I am moving my alarm clock time up 10minutes every three days until I get to the desired time... its hard and I falter some times.

And meal planning... you are just ON THE BALL! Good luck with it all and keep us posted!

You two should take a bow for the 5am workout! AWESOME! I have yet to meal plan but think I should get into the swing of it. If you have any favorite recipes, that would be great!

Bought a treadmill last night so I don't have to make that early morning trek to the gym anymore...had to promise ON MY LIFE I wouldn't let it become a clothes rack! ;-) Good job getting up!
