Meal Plan Results

Proposed:
Monday: 5-Veggie Stir-Fry
Tuesday: Garlic Chicken Pasta
Wednesday: Italian Chicken with edamame
Thursday: Backed Pesto Chicken
Friday: Sushi with Eric and Jess on the way to the Halloween Party!

Actual:

Monday: 5-Veggie Stir-Fry!! SO GOOD. Here's a picture to prove it:


Tuesday: Due to the lack of motivation to clean up yesterday's mess in the kitchen we went out to B Dubs for some wings and a beer.

Wednesday: I had to work late so we didn't eat together. I had mac and cheese and Garth had a sandwich.

Thursday: I just cleaned the kitchen and did not feel like cleaning it again. So we went to this new sushi place we heard great things about. The verdict: Not very good at all. It was small, the food was too fishy, and it wasn't very clean.

Friday: Sushi with Eric & Jess! So glad we are going to our fave sushi place tonight. I didn't get my sushi fix yesterday so I am so glad we are going before the party!=)


Two out of five isn't bad, right? Ok, we didn't really do well with this meal plan but I have high hopes for next week! Not to mention we went out a total of three times this week and will probably go out again this weekend! YIKES! We will be more disciplined next week!

That is tooo funny. I have learned when things are planned out it leaves a lot of room for error; be spur of the moment. When shopping for food get items for meals and cook whatever you feel like that night...we try to eat out only once during the week...ok last night we went out for drinks so that counts as 2 and tonight is Halloween so that might be 3...see don't listen to me!

The stir-fry does really look good, but I have to say I'm partial to the boneless wings at B-Dubs. :)

Awww, that was my biggest lesson when meal planning, you have to leave some room for flexibility!! Try using leftovers next time. That way, when you have one of those days where you don't want to come home and make a mess again, you already have some grilled chicken in the fridge from last night's meal and can throw together a salad or quick pasta dish.

your stir fry looks delish! I used to be ambitious when it came to cooking, but now my goal is just one meal a week.

Oh and I love sushi too!

Haha that sounds like how our weeks usually end up - so much for planning ahead! Cleaning a dirty kitchen is just SO much work :)

Haha...this sounds just like our week!!! I had mac and cheese when Mike was at work and we had sushi at our favorite place the other night! At least you cooked this week!!!

LOL, I use to try and plan out meals. It never worked! I also hate when I clean the kitchen to mess it up! It is hard work!

Veggie Stir Fry sounds amazing!! I think that might end up on my menu this week!! :) Tonight...a roasted chicken, potatoes and hopefully a salad (if I can make it to the store!) :)
