Old Couples...4:00a.m...British Lingo...Ect...

Friday night Garth and I, Eric (bro), and Jess (his gf) ate delicious sushi and then went back to my parents to get ready for the Halloween party. Can I just say it is my fault we didn't go as the White Trash Bridal Party. I couldn't find a wedding dress at Salvation Army for under $100 and I chickened out on wearing my own. Soooo PLAN B was old couples (plus Brad the lumberjack):I think Garth will make a very attractive old man, no? (And Eric's fat cop costume is great!)
The pin on his shirt says "Aged to Perfection." I couldn't agree more.;)
The party was a blast! We laughed, caught up with some old friends, had a dance party, and played poker. We had such a great time we didn't get home until 4a.m. I can't even remember the last time I stayed up that late! It must have been senior year in college!
Saturday we slept in! I went grocery shopping and whipped up some mean avacado dip and fajitas while Garth watched football. After lunch I took a two hour nap, and then read a whole book while Garth continued to watch football.
I read this British romatic comedy and loved all the lingo. I started using phrases like "I'm off to the loo" / "I am so knackered" / "I love our flat" / "Look at that bloke" / "I want some mince meat" / "I'm going to check the post." Ok, you get the idea. Garth thought it was cute, but I'm sure he must think I'm a tad crazy. I was asking him every five seconds what a word meant and then proceeded to use it the rest of the day.
Sunday, Garth made omlettes for breakfast. We went to church and the pastor gave a fabulous talk. After church we went over to Garth's mom's house for lunch. We visited with his mom, sister, and adorable niece, Lilly. Lilly kept running around the house saying "boo you scared me." Precious.
We stopped over my parent's afterwards for a quick hello and drink. Then we went home, opened a bottle of Pinot Grigio and watched "Extreme Home Makeover."
It was a wonderful weekend filled with all our favorite people. Love it.

The costumes look great! I too wouldn't have spent $100 bucks on a costume either!

Lucky you; I tried to take a nap but the tv was too loud or too much yelling during football LOL
