Life Lately: Week 45

This is what the past week looked like.

New favorite breakfast: avocado and cottage cheese on a toasted slice of sourdough with Everything But the Bagel Seasoning.

Happy November!

Back in my cooking groove.

Monday I made salmon with cauliflower rice, edamame, avocado, and spicy mayo.

Tuesday I made chicken and brussels on a sheet pan with a little goat cheese.

Wednesday I made Cesar salad with chicken nuggets on top.

Living the dream.

Hot tub nights.

Lunch catch up with a friend.

Cutting back on caffeine.

This book was a wild ride.

G brought me Starbucks and I drank half...

And then I accidently knocked the other half on the floor. :(

Dinner with our neighbors.

Tucked in the boat for a long winter's nap.

Had a little adventure in a nearby neighborhood.

We went to an estate sale at a beautiful house with this epic backyard complete with a pool, slide, hot tub, and pond.

This movie started out funny, but went off the rails.

Snowy Sunday.

Sweater weather.

We have funny neighbors.

This was such a sweet story and I adored all the Michigan references.

Fave quotes:

"Every time I dole out a kernel of my history to someone who's not going to become a fixture in my life, a piece of me gets carried away, somewhere I can never get it back."

"Things go smoother if you don't let people get a rise out of you. If you give them control over how you feel, they'll always use it... If you don't give other people responsibility for your feelings, you can have a decent relationship with most of them."

"If a person lets you down, it's time to reconsider what you're asking of them."

"You can't force a person to show up, but you can learn a lesson when they don't. Trust people's actions, not their words."

"The same universe that dispassionately takes things away can bring you things you weren't imaginative enough to dream up."

"(It's) lightning bug season."

I'm a RHOSLC stan.

It's a cool experience to listen to my dad teach Sunday school and take notes in my Bible from his wisdom.

Sunday night movie night.

It's funny because it's true.

Good advice.

Good reminder.

YES!
