Life Lately: Week 21 (Part 1!)

This is what the past week (part one!) looked like.

Monday vibes.

It felt like fall so G cooked a fall meal.

It was cold, but pretty.

He brought me a lavender latte, swoooon.

It's good to be Manny.

This pretzel with garlic dip was delightful.

Alliums are the prettiest.

Alphabetized the spices and it brought me so much joy.

Run, don't walk, to your nearest store for this salad dressing.

I'm obsessed.

l enjoyed this book more than I expected.

Fave quotes:

"Catching greenlights is about skill: intent, context, consideration, endurance, anticipation, resilience, speed, and discipline."

"The problems we face today eventually turn into blessings in the rearview mirror of life. In time, yesterday's red light leads us to a greenlight."

"We cannot fully appreciate the light without the shadows."

"Create structure so you can have freedom."

"Earn your Saturdays."

I haven't made a quiche in awhile so I made one and added a cup of cottage cheese.

Game. Changer.

10/10 recommend.

My little cinnamon roll.

Free Qdoba at work, yay!

My grapefruit martini was epic.

Sansu is my favorite dinner spot before going to a show.

In the room where it happens.

Not throwing away my shot!

Chicago road trip for El's eleventh birthday...

And mother's day.

We stopped at The Stray Dog on the way and I had the best espresso martini.

Ahi Tuna bowl for life.

Ella left this little note for our server.

Being silly at The Lincoln Park Zoo.

Our girl was always up for a photo and I love that about her.

The windy city.

That fish though.

First of many selfies.

d

The lion sleeps tonight (a-weema-weh, a-weema-weh).

Life's better when you embrace your stripes!

It's like he was posing for us.

My travel buddies are fin-tastic.

Peonies the size of my head.

Ella and my mom's favorite animal at the zoo.

My favorite.

I could watch them swim all day.

Checked into our hotel.

We ate dinner at Quartino and it was fantastic.

It was Ella's first time trying gnocchi and she is a fan.

As an Italian this made me laugh.

When in Rome...errrr....Eataly.

Pistachio gelato in a lavender cone, YES PLEASE.

Explored the Harry Potter store.

Flying books!

Ella was kind enough to explain everything in the store to me.

A five story Starbucks, what?!

Chicago is a magical place.

It was fun to explore all the levels and look at all the pastries and coffee cocktails.

Stay tuned for part two tomorrow! :)
