This is what the past week looked like.
Last week I talked about being resilient and reframing the situation into what I could do with this extra time and so I started journaling again.
I met my friend's new puppies.
She hosted us at her house and made mac and cheese and pork tenderloin.
The sweetest start to the week.
I can't even with the cuteness.
Lunch with my mentor.
It was a chilly day and I was determined to use the hot tub.
I put on two waterproof bandages and an aqua boot and it worked!
I didn't get my wound wet and it felt amazing to be in water.
Funny story: Our neighbor brought us dinner and a lemon dessert.
G couldn't taste or smell (and it wasn't Covid!) so he thought the parmesan cheese (for the pasta) was actually coconut for the dessert so he poured the cheese on the dessert, ate it and didn't notice a thing.
He offered me a bite and I realized it immediately, ha!
In office day.
The Fire Hub for lunch with a sweet friend.
If an ahi tuna bowl is on the menu chances are I'm going to order it.
He uses a pillow just like a human.
Sweet summertime.
I met a friend for lunch at Joe's on Jolly and the grapefruit rosé sangria was delightful.
I love an ahi tuna bowl, what can I say?
My friend and I had a lovely afternoon chatting and then walking around Aldi together.
While I was in an area I'm not usually in I picked up dinner from a new to us Thai restaurant.
I loved the restaurant décor.
The eerie sunsets are back.
Before walking with my neighbor she wanted to show me the algae growing in the lake.
It's bad and there is a no swim ordinance right now so here's hoping it resolves soon because it is weird not seeing anyone in the water.
That. Ear.
The sun glimmering on the water will never get old.
There is beauty in everyday.
Watching over his home.
The Thai food was a little too sweet for my liking.
G and I realized we were two Mission Impossible movies behind so we started to catch up.
Our neighbors are so kind and offered their boat to us to hang out on while they were out of town.
We spent a lovely afternoon reading (me), playing chess (G), and sleeping (M).
See also: you can kind of see the green algae under the dock in this pic.
My sweet Benny boy rocking his Jurassic Park t-shirt.
Cheers to a great family day celebrating my dad, laughing, and sitting on the deck.
Good reminder.
Thankful for friends that are magic.
Let's go!
Food for thought from an interesting meeting on time management.
Convicting.
That's just crazy.
I would never dream about working, lol!
Great catch.
This made me laugh way too hard.
For more life lately:
