Life Lately: Week 1

I love reading Tracy's everyday life posts so I started this project to document my life.

This will be my third year and it's so fun to look back on

This is what the first week of 2021 looked like.

The snow on the trees is my favorite.

Eating more fruits and veggies this month.

He has to be near us.

I made avocado salsa chicken in the crock pot and made burrito bowls for dinner Monday and then used the leftovers during the week for tacos...er...tostadas?

Greek yogurt, spinach, chicken, and avocado on a low carb tortilla.

New fave lunch!

Started using my new prayer journal during my morning devotional time and I love it.

Winter walks with Manny sporting his new sweater.

That is a tall snowman!

l was venting to a sweet friend on the phone that I meal planned for the week and got all the ingredients but the meat for my pot roast because my store was sold out.

She stopped over the next day and dropped off the meat I needed.

So thoughtful and so appreciated.

Chicken Cesar Salad.

Crock Pot Roast thanks to my thoughtful friend.

Salmon with zucchini noodles, avocado and edamame.

Yum!

He loves a fire almost as much as he loves blankets.

I forgot how gloomy winter can be, but gosh I get excited to see the sun.

Left the house for the first time in two weeks so I had to document, ha!

We went to our local brewery and sat on the heated patio (indoor dining is still closed and has been since early Nov).

Egg on a burger is EVERYTHING.

We met my parents and sat outside by the heater and drank good beer, ate good food, laughed and before we knew it 2.5 hours had passed.

I love days like that.

My dad put his hat on Manny and he froze like some dogs freeze when they are in a sweater.

It was so funny.

First sunset of 2021.

Ice, ice baby.

January 10th: First ice skater spotted!

G and I were so excited and started researching ice skates, ha!

Then we saw a few ice fisherman, a few people playing hockey, and a kid riding a bike on the lake.

It was quite entertaining.

Spaghetti with zucchini noodles.

Playful pup.

A few bloggers had named this their best book of 2020 so I was excited to read it, but it was a little too heavy for me.

I don't know why I kept reading, maybe because I kept thinking I was going to eventually get why it was so popular.

Sadly, I never got it and I'm glad it's over.

Though I am still thinking about it so there is that.

G and I spent most of Sunday finishing season 3 of Ozark.

Bah so good!

l like this organization schedule since I tend to get overwhelmed and don't know where to start.

It was a heavy week, but there is always good news if you look for it.

I couldn't stop thinking about this.

Feels about right.

Insert laughing and crying face.

I knew things weren't going to magically get better when we started 2021, but I didn't expect it to get worse.

2022 will be our year.

So true!

Eek!

Good reminder.

Hahaha, it's true though.

I'm going to try to not buy anything on Amazon all month.

Yes!

For more life lately:
