Life Lately: Week 7

Here is what the past week looked like.

Green smoothies every day.

Is it spring yet? I'm over all the snow and ice storms.

Galentine's Day lunch with my sweet coworkers was so much fun.

G and I celebrated eleven years of marriage on Saturday. Where does the time go? Time flies when you're in love.

I woke up to flowers, Raisinets and Miraval. He knows me so well.

We celebrated our anniversary in Grand Rapids. Our first stop was The Green Well. We started with pretty cocktails.

I had the quinoa falafel wrap with truffle fries and it was EVERYTHING.

We walked across the street to Brewery Vivant and shared a beer flight. The atmosphere was so cool. It felt like we walked into Europe or the days of yore.

We were able to get early check-in at the JW so we headed over.

Our room was pretty spectacular.

We were spoiled with cheese, crackers and chocolate covered strawberries. Yes, please!

We were also given a bottle of champs. We felt so cared for!

Eleven years later and still so in love with that guy of mine.

Grand Rapids was bustling with lots of people and ice sculptures.

I love love!

The Eiffel Tower!

We are so cheesy.

I heart the Amway Grand.

That view, though. Swoon.

Weekends are for adventures.

Sunset anniversary dinner with this gorgeous view.

Dinner at Six One Six.

Cocktail hour.

G and I both had the steak, garlic spinach and potatoes. It was all so delicious.

Since it was our anniversary they brought out complimentary champagne and dessert.

It was the perfect way to celebrate. We watched the sunset. Enjoyed a long, leisurely dinner. Talked about the past year and what we want to accomplish in year twelve with the soft, saxophone background music.

We slept in and enjoyed coffee by the river.

We were picking out a brunch place when our phones beeped about a winter storm warning. We abandoned those plans and headed home before the storm. McDonalds instead, ha!

As soon as we got home it started snowing hard. Three hours after we were on 96 there was a 44 car pile up. It wasn't supposed to snow! As bummed as I was to cut our weekend getaway short, I'm thankful for the memories.
