Just 3 more days. I only have to live in clutter chaos for 3 more days. This is what I have to keep telling myself because I am going insane. Our apartment is tiny already, but add our life in 20 boxes and it becomes miniscule. Working out has become a challenge, I am always tripping over something, and it's hard to see the TV. It is literally killing me that things are not organized and I cannot vaccuum. Imjustsayin.
Moving is not stressful because of packing. That was easy and only took 2 days. I don't how much that says about us - does that mean we're great packers or that we just don't have a lot of stuff? Hmm. The stressful part of moving is living out of boxes the last week. I mean really, this is the longest week of my life.
End rant.

Chivalry is Dead

Yesterday I drove into downtown Plymouth to pick up Panera for a lunch meeting. Now you must know I'm a modern woman and I don't expect a man to open a door for me. My husband has always opened doors for me since our first date. It's how he was raised and I appreciate that he does this. But I don't expect it from anyone else.
BUT I am still in disbelief about what happened while I was leaving Panera. I am holding a huge box of sandwiches, chips, cookies, etc. with a big bag on top of this box with forks, naptkins, salad and bread. A man is going to the door at the same time I am, with nothing in his hands, and proceeds to WAIT for me to OPEN THE DOOR FOR HIM! I struggle to kick open the door since I don't have any hands free. My purse is now falling off my shoulder as I struggle to keep the door open for him. He doesn't even utter a thank-you! In the words of Stephanie from "Full House": HOW RUDE!

Mad at Ebay

Yes, it's true. I went on Ebay because I heard it was a good place to get good deals. So I thought it would be a great place to get my sister-in-law a phone. She wanted one for her birthday and I found a really cute one on Ebay for about half the store price. What a steal! It was brand new and included everything. I was excited I found such a great deal. I showed it to Garth and he liked it too. I bought it.
I was like a kid on Christmas day. I ran to the mailbox everyday to see if it was there. I was so excited!
It came yesterday. The first bad sign was that it came in a shady envelope, not a "brand new box" as I envisioned. The second bad sign was when Garth felt the phone through the envelope he just felt a phone. He did not feel a charger in there. But I was still excited and was sure it would still be a great phone.
Then we got inside and I opened it up. It was a FAKE phone! No battery, no place to charge it. It was a toy!
Why would I need a "brand new" fake phone? I kept asking this question to Garth and he just laughed. I was mad because I got screwed. I couldn't even get a refund.
