28 Years.

My parents celebrate 28 years of marital bliss this Saturday. Can you believe it? Gosh, that seems like quite a feat to me when I have already seen friends divorce after a year (or months!) of marriage.

My parents make marriage seem easy. They hold hands, steal kisses when they think we're not looking, go on spontaneous weekend trips, and runn together every Saturday morning. They raised three kids that turned out pretty darn well (I'm biased, I know). They are so devoted to each other and it's pretty incredible to watch.

As parents, they are unbelievable. Supportive, fun, wise, and faithful. At church, our pastor said that the greatest thing parents can do for their children is give them a healthy marriage. My parents did that. I never saw them fight. They never put each other down. They hold the utmost respect for each other. I am truly blessed to have grown up with parents who truly loved and adored each other. Happy childhoods happen. I had one and I have them to thank.

Thanks, mom and dad, for being the best parents and example of a great marriage! Happy Anniversary, Garth and I love you to the moon and back!!!
