The Year in Review

2008, where did you go? It's been such an incredible year...
1. Married the love of my life.
2. Honeymooned in Hawaii.
3. Road tripped it over to NYC for a Broadway musical and to see the city.
4. Garth got a new job working as an insurance analyst.
5. We joined a small group and have met some great friends.
6. Weekend getaways camping and going up north.
7. Hosted many dinner parties for friends and family.
8. Visited the grandparents in Florida for Thanksgiving.
9. Turned 25 this year and Garth surprised me with a fancy hotel getaway on Lake Michigan.
10. Stood up in a few friends' weddings.
11. Went wine tasting in Traverse City.
12. Celebrated Christmas with family and friends.
13. Attempted to learn ballroom dancing.
14. Started this blog and met some amazing new friends.

I adore candid pictures. They capture the true sincerity of a moment. I don't know what it is about this picture, but I LOVE it. I love Garth's expression in this picture. I love his hands casually draped around my shoulders. I love my smile. I love that we are both looking the same direction. I love how comfortable we look. I love the twinkle lights in the distance. I love how happy and content we appear.

I don't even know what we are doing in this picture or who we are talking to or who took the photo. I have a slight hunch we are talking to my mom. I do know we are at our first wedding as a married couple on our six month anniversary. I love this picture.
