Flashback: Traverse City Getaway

In June G and I took a lovely little weekend trip to Traverse City.

We made a pit stop at Clam Lake Beer Company because it's one of our favorites. The beer is so good and the views of Cadillac Lake are an added bonus. The food is pretty darn tasty as well.

We rented a cute VRBO right on the bay with a lovely pool for some lap swimming (my fave!). We swam and enjoyed the sunset in the hot tub.

Saturday morning we slept in, walked the beach, swam laps and enjoyed the hot tub again.

We went down to the beach to read and relax for a bit.

It was cool and cloudy so we decided to abandon the beach and wine taste.

Frosé for the win! It was so refreshing while enjoying Bay views.

We took a break from wine tasting for a delicious lunch at Boathouse Restaurant right on the water.

It was so relaxing! Lunch with a view is my favorite thing ever.

We did a bit more wine tasting after lunch.

Some wineries were busier than others. It was a Saturday in the summer so it's to be expected. If it was too crowded to taste we would grab a glass and share it on the deck.

After a fun filled day drinking good wine we ate dinner at Osorio which had the best chips and salsa we ever had.

We came back to our resort in time for live music on the bay (and our condo is in the background).

We enjoyed another great sunset on Lake Michigan.

Sunday morning we swam laps and then spent the day on the beach.

It was hot and sunny which made it the perfect day to be beach bums. Lake Michigan was freezing, but we braved the water and swam for a bit.

After late check out we did a little more wine tasting, swam one last time and then headed home.

The views never get old and continue to take my breath away.

It was a great trip full of good wine, relaxation, sunshine and lake time. It doesn't get better than that!
