Life Lately

I'm still on quite the reading kick. I just finished First Comes Love by Emily Giffin. Giffin is one of my favorite authors and this book was good. Not my favorite, but not my least favorite either. I would recommend it for a fun read.

I still love Aldi's and shop there once a week. Last week I found this fun fall décor and had to purchase it because glittery pumpkins.

Halloween is kind of a big deal in my subdivision and this house really goes over the top so I had to snap a picture.

Two weeks ago while G and I were walking we spotted this owl. How cool is that?

The weather has been absolutely amazing lately. Sunny and 60s and just perfect for hikes around the lake.

Manny loves the hikes with different sites and smells and so do we! I just could not get over how beautiful the water is when the temperatures drop. Stunning!

It is tea weather! I'm obsessed with Brighton Tea from the Farmer's Market lately. The Migraine blend really does help with the headaches I have been having lately. Please note my awesome Aldi candle too! See also: I heart Aldi.

It's also bonfire weather. G made an awesome day fire this past weekend and he listened to music and relaxed and I sat next to him reading for hours. It was perfection. The weather was just incredible.

I love my little family! And yes, Manny gets his very own chair.

Can we talk about this gorgeous sunrise from the other day? God is good.

I still haven't weighed in, but this flannel shirt fit after years of not fitting in the arms. And my wedding rings fit again. Woohoo!!!

Life has been pretty low key lately. Lots of reading. Long hikes. Sleeping in. Work. Yard work. Cooking. We have cooked a lot lately, actually. Chicken curry, pot roast, grilled chicken and peppers, butternut squash risotto, chili. I don't know what has gotten into us, but I love it!

We are into cozy nights reading or watching Netflix. I just started Sing It On about a capella groups trying to make it to the championships. Ummm... yes please! I'm obsessed. G and I also watched Batman vs. Superman and I wasn't impressed. As much as I love a good action flick, this one was lacking in story and I just could not get into it. We also watched the new Captain America and I loved it until I didn't. We are in need a good movie recc!
