If you have read this blog for a while you know G and I love to celebrate everything. So birthdays are no exception and we go big. My birthday getaway was spectacular, but it didn't end there.
We celebrated with my family.
I had lots of sweet snuggles with this little sweetheart.
I'm not a cake fan so my mom made my favorite thing ever, zucchini pie. SO. GOOD.
Since I was the birthday girl I had the party cup.
Raise the roof.
Ohhh heyyyyyy.
I just cannot get enough of his cuteness.
My brother, Brad, was in town so it was nice to see him. He gave me this fun wine. I also got a cardigan, blouse, candle, duvet... Pretty much everything on my want list. #Blessed.
My actual birthday was on a Monday so G planned a nice date night for us. After work he took me downtown Ann Arbor to The Chop House. The food and ambiance cannot be beat and you get 50% off your bill when you dine on your birthday. YES PLEASE. G had a martini and I had a St. Germane.
We started with the lobster bisque. It is delicious, but the way they bring it out is entertaining. Four waiters brought out the soup for each of us and do so elegantly and it just makes you feel special.
G had the crab cakes for dinner and he loved them.
But my dinner stole the show. I had the scallops over applewood bacon smashed potatoes with a red wine reduction. DELICIOUS.
After dinner our sweet waiter brought this out. It was dark chocolate and it was amazing.
As we walked around downtown Ann Arbor we talked about how we usually get steak, but we both got seafood and it was delicious.
We decided we weren't ready for the night to end so we stopped in to Pacific Rim for a French 75 because that is the perfect way to end a birthday.

Happy Birthday!
I have to agree! French 75's are awesome. The best place in Plano, TX is Katy
Trail Ice House.
