Weekend Recap

This weekend was a good one. Friday night my sweet friend Jess and I went to the outlets to shop. We have a wedding next week so we were looking for a dress. I was hoping to find a Maxi dress but either they didn't have my size or they were $80. No thanks. I did get a few Bath and Body Works candles (Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut and Brazilian Waters) and a free Signature Scent body lotion. The total was $60.50 but after my coupon and 2 for $24 candle sale the price was $24.50. Score!!! G was just laughing at me because I was just laying on the couch smelling the Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut lid. It seriously smelled so good!

After we shopped until we dropped we came back to my house and G had whipped up Paula Deen's Spinach and Artichoke dip. AND had a few appetizers in the oven too for us. So sweet!! We ate dinner and talked and laughed and had a blast.

After dinner we went to the living room and Jess fell out of the chair. But she didn't spill her wine because priorities.

Hahahaha it makes me laugh just thinking about it. So funny! I've had this chair since college and that was the first time someone fell out if like that. Love it!

I take that back. Manny has fallen out of the chair before and it was just as funny when he did it.

We made videos on the Crazy Helium App which was hilarious. We were all laughing so hard we were crying. Then we were trying to teach Manny to Stop. Drop. And Roll. But we wouldn't roll over. So that didn't work, but it would have been super cute.

Saturday morning G and I had coffee and breakfast on the deck. It was already in the 60s when we woke up and it was incredible.

Manny loved it too. He got a nice 3 mile walk outside and then G and I did about 4 hours of yard work. Weeded, power washed the house, raked, mowed the lawn, cleaned out the flower beds, cleaned out the rest of the wasp nest from last summer and caught up with our neighbors. It felt so good to get all of that done!

We rewarded ourselves with a beer on the deck and a book. A beer always tastes better after hours of yard work, right? I read Daring Greatly by Brene Brown and I couldn't put it down! I highly recommend!  We ended the evening with grilled steaks and watching Phantom of the Opera (the movie). I didn't even know there was a movie, but it was AWESOME.

Sunday we slept in, did church online, walked Manny and had a lazy Sunday. I binge watched Parenthood. Such a good show! I finished my book and it was just a nice lazy day to recharge my batteries. I woke up Monday ready to start a hard working week. It was the perfect balance of fun, productive, and relaxing. The best kind of weekend in my opinion.

I can totally go for some spinach and artichoke dip! Glad you enjoyed your weekend.

Also, LOVE that not a drop of wine was spilled. #thatismykindoffriend

Can you tell me more about Church online? How does it feel? I know such a big part of church is being part of a community and surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ. Do you like it?
