Thoughts this week:

(via)

How I lost only .2 pounds after all the swimming at the gym last week is beyond me. It must be because swimming makes me want to eat ALL THE FOOD. That is part of why I really scaled back my workouts this week. It was really nice to not be hungry all the time. I'll see how this affects my weigh in Sunday. But it's nice walking everyday on lunch and walking with Manny and only doing Jillian 3 times a week. It's a nice break and nice to enjoy the outdoors.

I just need to keep on keeping on. I didn't gain it overnight and I won't lose it all overnight. BUT I'm doing this. I can do this. I am doing this. I need to measure and take another picture because I'm sure I must be losing inches. My clothes are fitting so much better. So there's that.

Eats this week:

I meal planned again after a hiatus and it was nice to get back into it. I kept things pretty simple since we went a little crazy at Trader Joe's and had lots of frozen options.

Speaking of TJ's, Friday afternoon we shared some baked mac and cheese bites and black bean and corn bites. YUM. I also had a side of Brussels.

Saturday morning G and I split a TJ's Broccoli and Cheese quiche.

For lunch G and I split a protein smoothie. We copied a version from the gym: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1 cup carrot juice, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup pineapple and 1/2 cup mango. YUM. And the color was so pretty! It didn't hold us over for very long so when we got to church we split a blueberry scone.

After church we ate cheese and crackers, carrots, ribs and cheesy potatoes. So good!

Sunday morning I finished the rest of my gym protein smoothie with a half quiche.

Sunday afternoon I ate Brussels with TJ's mac and cheese which is the best frozen mac and cheese there is. SO GOOD.

My breakfasts this week have been half a TJ quiche and half a berry smoothie.

Monday and Tuesday for lunch I had half of this Pesto Chicken Wrap with a side of carrots and an apple.

My afternoon snack has been a cup of cottage cheese. I heart cottage cheese so much.

Monday night we had TJ appetizers for dinner.

Tuesday night we whipped up TJ's Roasted Red Pepper Pasta. It was amazing! I cannot recommend this enough! So delicious and ready in 7 minutes!

My Tuesday lunch was leftover TJ apps with a Carrot Juice smoothie.

Wednesday lunch was Minestrone Soup and a Carrot Juice smoothie.

Wednesday I threw together a slow cooker pot roast and it was amazing. Onion mix makes all the difference!

It made great leftovers for lunch Thursday as well.

Thursday night we ate subs and met my friend's (Hi Brit!!) new addition, Daphne (how cute is that name?!). It was a fun night with good people, newborn cuddles and yummy food.

Today I'll have the rest of my Tuna sub for lunch and dinner tonight I have a sushi date with G and I can't wait!

Yeah I know what you mean. When anything doesn't happen immediately in life, we can tend to feel discouraged, but each day is only one step of the journey. That pasta looks great by the way :)
