Kitchen Makeover Reveal

Warning: If you are against painting oak this post is not for you. :)

I love a good before and after picture. I could not be happier with how the kitchen renovation went and I'm so excited to share all the before and after pictures. Stay tuned tomorrow for a step by step guide on how we did the whole transformation. But today lets just look at pretty pictures, okay?

We still need to paint the trim around the door and windows and install a back splash but the painting of the cabinets is done. We don't have to go to the garage for food or drinks anymore. The kitchen is back together and the house is back to normal. And that is big progress for me!

I'm also in the process of spray painting the yellow canisters in the before picture turquoise and I'm trying to talk G into painting the kitchen table green or  yellow and the chairs turquoise. I'm dreaming of white trim and white subway tile back splash. But the rest of the kitchen projects aren't nearly as urgent. I'm ready to just soak in all our hard work and take a few weekends off because this was an exhausting project.

Good job! I think the canisters in turquoise (same as the knobs?) will be beautiful!

Looks great. You have a good eye. Kinda like the yellow chairs. Looks like there is gray in the tablecloth. Libby in Va

A paint job is one of the best ways to make a room look brand new. A lot of homeowners find painting oak cabinets hard, because the oak grain makes it difficult to smoothen up. However, seeing how well your cabinets look up close, I gotta say that you did an amazing job. The kitchen makeover is definitely a success. Thanks for sharing that, Lindsey! Kudos and all the best to you! :)
