Fit Friday

Shockingly, I have stayed off the scale. It is so nice to not be obsessed over a number. I'm not gonna lie. Sometimes it is hard and I'm tempted to get on the scale. But I know it's not all about a number. I know I won't be in the best shape ever at 30 and I don't want to get depressed about it. I want to focus on the positive little changes I am making. I've kept my calories between 1300 and 1500 and my work out schedule for the week looked like this:

Sunday - Rest
Monday - Ripped in 30 Level 1
Tuesday - Ripped in 30 Level 2
Wednesday - Ripped in 30 Level 3 and walk 3 miles
Thursday - Ripped in 30 Level 4 and walk 3 miles
Friday - The Shred Level 1
Saturday - Garth and I plan to run 2 miles

It has been so hot here that we only walked twice this week. I love the hot weather though so I'm not complaining! As you may have noticed, I'm just really switching it up everyday with my workouts and that has been fun.

My lunches the last two weeks have been a Yoplait Greek Yogurt and a sandwich thin with spinach, Laughing Cow Cheese and oven roasted turkey. Yum! I usually eat an apple and Luna bar for snacks throughout the day. Dinners have been more sporadic because we have been so busy. Tuesday night we were at a friend's house for dinner and she made this Sausage Gumbo that was incredible. I'll need to get the recipe to share with you all. I also made a killer French Onion Soup this week that I'll share next week with my revisions. I will definitely be making it again.

I'm in Chapter 4 of Made to Crave and I'm loving it. I'll do a whole post about that soon, but it is rocking my world and definitely helping me along in my journey. In other random news, I overhead a co-worker telling another co-worker he had to  hide the scale from his wife because she was getting too obsessive. This utterly shocked me knowing this co-worker's wife and how tiny she is. It really confirmed this is a battle we all face and all have to make peace with.

Anyways, this is a little random but I'm doing well. I'm feeling free from the scale and eating healthy and focusing more on how I feel than on what I weigh or how I look. It's a process and it doesn't happen overnight, but I'm feeling good. How are you doing?

Yay for doing well!!

Now that I've given up my scale I am doing great with the workouts! I'm focusing more on enjoying them. Husband and I hit the treadmills together when its too hot to hit the park before it closes. Have a great weekend!
