I love a good list of resolutions. There is nothing like a new year for a fresh start. I have proved pretty successful in years past at resolutions so I am ready to list a few things I woul like to accomplish this year and up the anty on a few I have made habits in 2012. Without further ado, here is my list of New Year's Resolutions:
1. Make at least one new recipe a week with Garth.
2. Lose 30 pounds once and for all.
3. Go on a tropical vacation to celebrate our five year anniversary.
4. Read at least three devotionals this year. I'm starting with The Jesus Calling.
5. Get a puppy.
6. Create one night a week that Garth and I have a date night. No TV. Just us. Cooking together and a puzzle or going out for dinner. Or to a local performance. Something different each week to create new and fun memories.
7. Go to a country concert. I regret not going every year so this will be our year!
8. Tackle three house projects. Ideally, I would like to start redoing the kitchen and bathrooms. Spray painting all the knobs, painting the cabinets and maybe start painting the trim upstairs. This is a lofty one, but I hope we can tackle at least one. I'm dreaming of white kitchen cabinets, subway tile backsplash, and painting more gold in this house.
9. Work out six times a week with Saturdays as a running day with Garth. We ran on Saturdays a couple times this year and I would love to make that a habit Garth and I stick to weekly.
10. Eat takeout only once a week. This is the hardest for us, but I really want to get better at takeout and more of a treat.
11. Embrace turning 30 this year. Enjoy it. Celebrate it. Love it.
12. Start couponing this year because I know I spend too much on groceries.
13. Be in the moment. Strive to be the best me I can be. Don't take this life for granted. Savor the time I have with the people I love most. Laugh more. Live more. Don't get stuck in the mundane.
Happy New Years friends!! Give me your resolutions!
