Fit Friday & Other Thoughts

I have been really good this week with working out. I have done level 1 of Ripped in 30 every day this week! I'm pretty proud of that considering I only worked out ONCE last week. I have improved leaps and bounds this week and it is feels so good.

My eating has been pretty good as well. I'm pretty much obsessed with Eggo cinnamon waffles with peanut butter on them. It is the best lunch for work too because I just keep peanut butter at my desk and the waffles in my work freezer and I don't have to scramble and make lunch every day. I'm all about convenience people.

Another amazing food I am loving is Laughing Cow Cream Cheese Garden Vegetable. Holy amazing! It blows the regular Laughing Cow Cream Cheese out of the water. It was a happy accident that I bought it. I love those!

Yesterday I had steak stir-fry and South African Chiraz with my South African.

It was glorious. We ate outside on the deck and then were out there the rest of the night talking and enjoying the cooler weather.

I'm in Jeremiah now in my Bible reading plan and every time I flip to the chapter I sing "Jeremiah was a blow frog!" in my head.

I'm going on my first work business trip to Chicago. I'm excited and anxious all at the same time. Speaking of work, I have been getting new responsibilities and it has been insanely busy. I can't believe it's Friday already.

On Wednesday morning I was getting up per usual to start the coffee. But for some reason I was disoriented and I ran smack into the wall. It was pretty loud too because it woke Garth up. I had a lovely red bump on my forehead. Then while we were drinking coffee I spilled the hot stuff on myself. While brushing my teeth I somehow managed to get toothpaste in my eye. All this happened in about an hour of waking up. Luckily, the day got better. It really could only go up from there, right?

Garth and I watched Friends with Kids last week and I hated it. I thought the movie was ridiculous and to be frank, some of the movie terrified me. Garth and I would look at each other and say, "We are not having kids!" But there was this one scene where the two main characters were out to dinner and a family was sitting next to them. This family was so cute and the kind of family I imagined Garth and I would have. It just made me hurt for kids. For a family. In that fleeting moment I just earned for a family. To be a mom. For Garth to be a dad.

I'll have to try the laughing cow cheese, but I'm not sure how it's eaten... Do you put it on crackers... or? Mornings like that are crazy! But at least you got a funny story out of it?

Chicago is so awesome! Too bad it'll be hot and muggy :(

We liked Friends with Kids.. But I understand what you mean about the outrage and ridiculousness. It's definitely a picture of the broken world we live in. After watching, my husband and I had some really great conversations about just got ridiculous and broken it was and how we want to be different and how we want to raise our children. But, again, I see your point!

Happy weekend lovely lady :)
