Menu Monday

It turns out two weeks of menu planning was just too stressful, overwhelming, and we just do not have the freezer, fridge or pantry space to accommodate. But this should provide plenty of protein, veggies, and energy for Garth's runs and yummy lunch leftovers!

Monday - Spinach and Feta pie
Tuesday - Stuffed Feta Burgers
Wednesday - Veggie quesadillas
Thursday - Chicken Stir Fry
Friday - Weight Watcher Taco Pie
Saturday - Chicken Caesar Salad

I used this template and it worked like a dream at the grocery store:

I love it because it categorizes everything which helps me from going back and forth to one side and the other at Meijer. I also use this site to know what kind of food Garth needs to perform his runs and what types of snacks to buy him.

I also found this neat craft idea on pinterest. I'm not a very crafty person but this was easy enough. I just stuck the above template in a frame and then use a dry erase board to write out my menus each week. Brilliant!

What's on your menu?

Awesome! I was just getting ready to write a post on why I'm such a big believer in menu planning--isn't it a life savor? You're seriously going to love how much time (and stress) it saves you during the week when you're wondering, "What's for dinner?"

Wow, that's so organized! I'm not a huge menu planner, I plan to some extent and make sure I use foods based on not wasting fresh ingredients, but mostly I keep it in my head. So far it works, maybe when we have kids it'll be more complicated and I'll actually have to write stuff down.

great printables! I've been trying to menu plan for 2 weeks at a time for the last few grocery trips and it's a LOT of work...I think I might have to go back to the weekly planning!

Oh I love the dry erase board idea! This maybe I can do per day but planning the menu for even a whole week would be a complete fail in my house lol

I like the dry erase board idea how you have it-I have one on my fridge that I write each week's menu. I usually plan one week at a time, but have been trying to do 2 weeks at a time. It's a lot of work!
