Curly Hair

I have really thick hair. It tangles really easily. Straightening my hair is a CHORE. It takes at least an hour of brushing, sectioning, and straightening layer after layer. I know I am blessed to have thick, healthy hair. But it is a lot of work, especially since I have let it grow out. I have been so tempted lately to just cut it to make my life easier. But I love having long hair and Garth loves it too.

Spending an hour a day on my hair was getting old really fast though. So when I stumbled upon this curly hair tutorial I had to try it. Last night I took a shower, washed my hair, and then put my hair in quite a few little buns. This only took about 20 minutes. To see how the buns look, check out Dusty's blog.

This morning I took the buns out and here was the result:

I really like it. I know the curls will call down throughout the day which is fine by me. I have been getting so many compliments, even asked if I went to the salon this morning to get these curls! Love that. For a total of about 25 minutes to get this look, it may just be my new look.

Ugh! My hair is the SAME way. I have natural curl, but I want it straight mostly, it takes ALL day and still looks like crap or extremely frizzy. Yours looks good.

so cute! isn't it crazy how we always hate the hair-type we have...I have super fine, thin hair & I'd love to have some long curly hair!

I have this hair too! I call it up-do hair, because the only thing it is good for is up-dos ;0) So, while I do hate it 99% of the time, I have to give my hair props for being really awesome for proms and my wedding!

I know the feeling...my hair is thick and naturally curly so it is a chore to calm it down.
