Random Musings

1. Garth and I are reading the Bible in a Year together. We just finished reading the story of Joseph which has prompted me to pull up every Donny Osmond YouTube video when he was on the Broadway cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I'm sure Garth is relieved we are in Exodus now, ha!

2. I had to sit on a jury for an actual trial. I was sick to my stomach nervous about it, but once I was there I got into it. It was interesting to see the prosecuter and defendant state their cases and to hear witnesses testify. It all seemed so glamourous though there was a lot of waiting around in the Jury Room, which is basically just a small room with a bathroom, table and chairs, and a tiny kitchen with coffee and muffins. I guess God was protecting me from having to make a tough decision because at the end of the day if there are still 7 jurers they chose a name and that person gets to go home. Well guess who that person was? Me! I was so angry because I had spent all day there and I wanted to deliberate! Oh well, wasn't meant to be...

3. I made beef enchiladas with ground turkey on Monday. While they were baking I prepped cabbage soup in the crock pot for Tuesday night.Last night I prepped white chicken chili for tonight. Who am I?! I love it though. It is the best feeling in the world to have dinner ready for you when you get home. I love my crock pot! It's like my own personal chef making my house smell so yummy and with dinner ready when I walk in the door. Where has it been all my life?! I can't believe I went so long without using one of these.

4. Garth and I had not seen a movie in the theater since Avatar so we went and saw Mission Impossible a couple weeks ago. It was so good! The theater by us offers tickets for $4.25 before noon which is a great deal, though we ended up spending $20 in popcorn and slushies so it evened out.

5. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is crazy this season! It is one of my guilty pleasures and Garth gives me a hard time for watching such garbage but I can't get enough of it. It's like a car crash and I just can't look away.

6. I cannot believe Garth turns 30 next week! How did you celebrate your big 3-0?

4.25 before noon? That's awesome! I was called for Jury duty once but luckily I got out of it because I was a full-time student at the time. Whew!

So funny you posted about Donny Osmond and Joseph.. I was actually in the show with Donny back in 1995 when it came to Minneapolis. Donny was awesome to be on stage with!

Unfortunately, We didn't travel.I was in 8th grade and we were in the children's choir, I wasn't a real cast member but we just did the run here in Minneapolis for 3 months. It was still an amazing experience though!

I LOVE the Real Housewives too - maybe obsessed is more of an appropriate word than love. But like you said, I just can't stop watching! Taylor is a mess this season!
