Home Improvement Weekend

I don't know what got into Garth, but he was on a roll this weekend playing Mr. Fix-it. First, he tackled our kitchen faucet. It was old and ugly and my dad mentioned we would need a new one the first time he saw the house. Well, a year later and we noticed the faucet was started to leak so we headed to Lowe's and bought a new one.

For some reason my phone will not load the old pictures of the sink. But just picture a cheap little silver faucet. The hardest part of the whole process was getting that old sink off! But with the help of DIY Network and Home Depot videos Garth did it. You know you are a homeowner when you are SO excited about a beautiful new faucet!!!

I thought Garth went upstairs to change after the faucet project, but I came into the master bedroom to find half the toilet on the floor...

Our master bathroom toilet was very difficult to flush. The longer we lived in the house, the harder it became to flush. It is a cheap fix, but required installing a new flushing system. Garth decided to tackle it on Saturday and I am very impressed! He spent a good four hours up there taking things apart and following directions. He did it!!Garth is becoming quite the fixer upper! Hmmm what would I like done next? I have my sights set on some new ceiling lights in the kitchen...:)

Woohoo! Go Garth! Yeah, I feel like since we bought our house, there is always something to fix! It never ends but it's kind of exciting.

Just call him Mr. Handyman! I love it. We recently had to get a new faucet, but we called in for help...lol. We're not very good at fixing things around here.
