2. Soooo we dog sat last weekend. While the dog was really sweet we realized we are NOT ready for a dog. I think I drove Garth crazy as I followed the dog around and vacuumed and cleaned the hard woods. There was dark patches of hair on the carpet and he was a messy drinker so I was borderlined obsessed on taking care of it all. I hate that I'm a crazy cleaner but I can't help it!
3. Needless to say, that was exhausting and I prefer a quiet, no mess house at this time. Though Garth was impressed because I cleaned up after his messes, took him for walks, and let him out all by myself (to prove I was ready for a dog) I do enjoy not having to take care of anything/anyone but Garth and I. Call me selfish if you want, but it's just where we are right now.
4. My good friend Claire came over this weekend and it was such a blast catching up and laughing really hard. During dinner we got so caught up talking about the Real Housewives of New Jersey that Garth thought we were talking about actual people we knew. When he realized we were talking about a reality show he made us change the subject. Ha!
5. I painted my toe nails black and I love the way it looks. I'm letting out my inner goth.
6. My brother accepted a job in NYC as a web designer. I am so proud of him and very excited for him!
7. I am very ready for this week to end. It is a busy one! We had an audit at work yesterday, girls night last night, small group tonight, and then a company retreat the rest of the week. I am counting down until the weekend! Though it's all fun stuff, I do not enjoy being gone every night of the week. I miss my husband!

My husband and I also had a dog for the weekend a few weeks ago, and we came to the exact same conclusion! She was so adorable and such a wonderful little puppy, but when she left- whooosh- sign of relief. They're a lot of work!
