Ok so I maintained this week which is kinda annoying because it seems I'm developing this pattern of losing one week, maintaining the next, etc... I know it's better than gaining but still. I have been successful tracking calories everyday (even weekends!) and I work out 5 times a week. I rotated this week between The Shred and Cardio Max.
I'm not sure why I'm not losing consistently like I have in the past when I know I'm doing everything right. I drink 8 glasses of water a day, I track calories and keep it under 1500, and I work out regularly! Grrr!
I did read an article from Shape while in line at the grocery store (am I the only one that does this?!) that says when you start working out again with weights you may see a gain or no loss on the scale for a few weeks. I'm hoping this is what is going on here and I'll start adjusting to weight training and start seeing results! How are ya'll doing?

I always say maintaining is better than gaining :) You're doing great, especially with working out 5 times a week and keeping track of calories.
Since having the baby I worked out Tuesday and Wednesday with The Shred and then walked with the baby in his Moby carrier that I wear...now THAT was a workout! I feel pretty good about getting back on the horse, that's for sure!
You are doing great! At least you are doing something good for your body!
Looking forward to getting my bike fixed so I can get outside in this beautiful weather and work off some of these winter pounds! :)
I'm so impressed by your work out habits!
I went down .5 this week. I'll take it.. I don't feel like I really deserved it since I had 3 bad days (Adams parents were in town for the weekend and we did a lot of cooking and going out to eat).
Keep up the great work!
I have been really good this week also and I am down five pounds. A lot of my problem was my eating. I have really gotten back on track and hopefully these last couple of pounds will just melt off.
I think my body gets bored sometimes. When I switch things up a little, I find I am more successful. You are doing great, so hang in there!
Ha ha... my husbands gets annoyed when I do that, but I SOO read/flip through the magazines while in line. I don't wanna buy it, but I definitely need to stay up on things! :-P
I know our bodies need to be changed up every so often, but I find that two weeks of the month it is easier to lose weight and two weeks of the month I gain water weight and/or maintain. So I try and look at it over a long period of time, which means that, if you lost 1 pound every other week for the year, in 26 weeks, you'll have lost 26 pounds. Which is great!
Maintaining is definiely better then gaining! But I definitely know how you feel! I'm almost to my goal of losing 20 lbs (3.8 more lbs to go! Woo hoo) and I had a week where I didn't lose anything. It's definitely frustrating!
i hope that article is true! I work out 5x a week, keep my calorie intake to 1500 or less, and still my weight loss has been minimal. I'm doing a boot camp though which is very focused on building muscle. still- i dont tihnk i'm gaining THAT much muscle.
