THOSE People.

Yes, it's true. Garth and I were THOSE people this year. We put up our tree before Thanksgiving. In our defense, we bought our tree the day after Christmas. We got a great deal on it, but never had the pleasure of decorating and enjoying it. So we could hardly wait.
We chose silver and blue as our color scheme for our tree and are very happy with our choice.
Proud of hard work! Garth put up the tree, I put the string on all the ornaments, and decorating was a collaborative effort.
We do have some special ornaments we received as gifts that we finally got to take out of the box and display.
I don't remember who gave us the penguin, but I adore it. Penguins rock.If you look closer at the bottom shelf you'll see the Peanuts gang. My brother and sister-in-law gave us these ornaments on our first Christmas as a married couple and I just think they are the best. They remind me of A Charlie Brown Christmas which is the best holiday special in my book, and the only one that "shows the real meaning of Christmas," as my dad always says.
This is my favorite. My brother and sister-in-law gave us this ornament last Christmas. We introduced them to sushi a few years ago and going to sushi has been our "thing" ever since.
Please pardon the bad photo quality. These are personalized ornaments from our dear friends, Jill and Garrett, for our wedding gift. LOVE.
Cheers to the holiday season! It just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I hope you're feeling the joy this holiday season and putting up your tree soon!

No shame in putting the tree up that early, doll! It looks fabulous! I also love all of the unique, special ornaments you have -- the Peanuts gang and the sushi one are so adorable!

Love it!! We put up decorations, but not a tree a few weeks ago--obviously, before Thanksgiving. We need to get our tree up SOON!

Your tree looks so pretty and we did the same silver and blue theme last year. I might do the same again this year. I love that cute sushi ornament and the sparkly one with your names on them. Great job!

While I do not put a tree up until the week prior to Christmas, I have to admit this is more due to the fact that I NEED live trees to experience the full effect. As we all know, live trees would not make it that long, so early Christmas trees are not a problem. Do not feel bad.

I love the fact that you do ornaments that mean something to you instead of themed trees. I too have a very sentimental tree because every ornament to me is a story that I think over as I add it to the tree. I remember fun nights with my family decking out the house with the tree that dad cut that afternoon. The only thing I changed from that experience is that I do not cut my own tree since the only abundant wild christmas tree in these parts are all cedar and they ITCH!
PS I know that cement mixer was just plain adorable. I wish I could have played with it but alas it was only on the internet.
