Weekend Recap.

Last week my boss had all of us over for a Pig Roast. The food was amazing, my co-workers are super friendly, and my boss' house is beautiful. We played volleyball and this water balloon game and Garth had the chance to meet my co-workers.
I never thought I wanted to live in the country until I was at this house. He had sheep:
Horses: And tennis courts: It was so peaceful out there. Loved it!
Friday night we went house hunting. The first house looked really nice in the pictures. It was large, on a lake, and the price was right. We knew there had to be a catch but assumed it was just the fact that it needed some carpet. Well, we pull in and realize the house is in the middle of a trailor park. Weird. The front window was boarded up. Odd. We knew it was a foreclosure so there would not be electricity so our realtor had a flashlight and as soon as he opened the door we caught a whiff of the inside of the house. It smelled like someone had died in there. Lets just say we didn't even go in.
The second house was really nice except the backyard was a freeway. No thanks. The next house was beautiful, but really far out in the country, and next to a main road. The last house we looked at had standing water in the backyard from the sewer and smelled like sewage. SICK. So we did not have much luck this time around but we remain optimistic.
Saturday we helped some friends move to a beautiful loft in Detroit. We had a great time, but worked really hard. After we went home and crashed.
Sunday we went to church and had lunch with my family. Then we caught up on laundry, grocery shopped and watched a movie. It was a busy, but fun weekend.

Definitely keep your spirits up, the right house will come along! It can be very disappointing and I was always amazed at some of the houses a realtor will take you to.

Your bosses house looks great! You're lucky you went house hunting after the rain, otherwise you could have missed some of those huge warning signs!

I've been helping my new boyfriend look at houses (odd but hey - he's been looking for almost a year now). I never realized how tough it was! I have WAY WAY WAY more sympathy for you.

YOur boss place looks really cool!
