Resolutions.

1. Read the Bible in a year...for real this time. I think this link will help me accomplish this goal because the passage will be emailed to me daily.

2. Eat cleaner and healthier. This means more fruits and veggies and less processed foods. We have gotten much better in our eating habits, but our downfall is eating too many processed foods so I really want to limit that by...

3. Cooking 3 times a week.

4. Drink less pop. I love my diet coke, but after reading a lot of bad press about it I have decided to only drink pop if we're out to eat (so about once a week).

5. Conintue working out 6 days a week. I started this habit last year and I'm addicted! I feel so much better after a good sweat that I look forward to keeping this going.

6. Become the healthiest me I can be. I'm not sure if this means losing 5, 10 or 15 pounds but with really good eating and exercising I'll see where I end up the happiest.

7. Be the best wife I can be. This entails being supportive, respectful, and servant hearted. I don't want to "get into a routine" as we venture into our second year of marriage, but continue to always put effort into our marriage.

8. Continue date nights with Garth every week. I think it is SO important to get away from the daily grind and spend quality time with your spouse doing something fun.

9. Keep on blogging. I have met so many amazing friends through this outlet and I look forward to reading about your life this year and cultivating more frienships.

I'm going to read the Bible in a year too and I'm so excited! Let us know how that's going, I can't wait to see where this journey takes me, so it'll be fun to hear your story too!

And since you've already done such a great job with your other resolutions, I'm sure it'll be a cinch! :) Good luck girl!

This is a great list! I have lots of similar resolutions. Thanks for the Bible reading link- I've wanted to do that too and looking up an already made schedule/breakdown will really help!

That's a great list! Hubby & I have given up pop as well (unless we're at some sort of family gathering). Hopefully we'll stick to it!

Great resolutions. I have many similar ones. Instead of reading the entire bible, I'm just attempting to get through the new testament. I've found in past years, I always give up on the bible reading one, so I thought maybe if I try to achieve a smaller goal, I will do better. All the best to you and Garth in 2010!

I'm trying to do number 1 as well. There is an iPhone app called "Holy Bible" (there are several) that let you read from your phone. That seems to be working for me!

Way to go! I just did a similar post today!! All the best!

date nights are on our list too!

you can do it with the cooking -- and, I think you'll grow to love it too.

I love this list of resolutions and have so enjoyed reading your blog as I prepare to become a wife in May. The servant minded part really speaks to me at this particular point in time... it's beautifully phrased and so important. Thanks for sharing your life and for the inspiration.
Hope yours is an amazing 2010! :)

Happy New Year Lindsey!!

Great resolutions... I especially like the "be the healthiest I can be" one... we all should be healthy, but in our own, individual way. I know I'm never going to get rid of my hips & jiggly thighs and I'm not going to worry about trying to fight my natural shape :)

Very good resolutions for 2010! I haven't decided what to do as far as my Bible reading this year. I may do like Lucy and read through the New Testament. Thinking pondering that one.

The best to you and Garth for 2010!
