Operation Get Fit!

One of my resolutions was to become the healthiest I could be so I'm excited for my first Operation Get Fit (OGF) post and I am ready to start losing weight again, it has been too long. So here is how it will work: I have decided to weigh myself every Wednesday and report back to you to keep me accountable.

This is my first week back in the grind since the holidays and I'm happy to report that I am maintaining which was my goal during the holidays and considering this is only day 3 of my new lifestyle. Here are the stats:

Current weight loss: -16 lbs since March
Goal: 10 to 15 to go!

Yes, can you believe it? I've been doing this since March! Ugh, this is taking forever. But that is okay, I'm ready to get to my happy weight and I think 3 months is perfect timing.

We all know the best way to lose weight is to have healthy options in the pantry and fridge so Garth and I went grocery shopping and stocked up on lots of fruits, veggies, chicken, and some of my favorite snacks:
Next week I'll show you my food journal and review Jillian's book Making the Cut. I'll see you next Wednesday, hopefully with a loss to report. I'd love to have you join in the fun of OGF with me and we can keep each other accountable.

You're doing it smart by going slow & giving yourself time to accomplish your goals.

You're doing great on your weight loss goals! I think it's admirable that you are doing this over time and making lifestyle changes instead of just "dieting". Once you reach that goal weight, I bet you will be great at maintaining it! Way to go!

Wow! You definitely did stock up on some healthy food. I just hate the expensive nature of food that is actually good for us. I now know, though, that health and nutrition should be non-negotiables for all of us.

Yea! I look forward to your posts. You have done amazing so far and I think it is best to take your time, make real lifestyle changes, rather then trying some fad diet only to have the weight pile back on.

Hey chic, have you ever heard of the website Sparkpeople.com? If not you should definitely head over there! Its great for motivation and support. I ma currently on it as I'm trying to loose 11 pounds. It has a nutrition tracker, fitness tracker, a profile where you can blog about your progress, a weigh in section to keep track of that. Its amazing! I'm wanting to do video blogs each week of my progress and you can also post that there. Give me a yell if you ever make it over there! My login is grabbin_life84:) Good luck!
