Scrooge.

Gosh, I am feeling like such a scrooge this holiday season. We didn't put up our Christmas tree. We didn't hang our stockings. We haven't given our wish list to my parents. We haven't done any Christmas shopping. We haven't watched Charlie Brown Christmas. We haven't even started listening to Christmas music.
I thought I would get in the holiday spirit over the weekend because we had holiday parties to attend and my church's Christmas show, but it just hasn't happened. Maybe the weather is to blame?
I plan to get out of this silly funk tonight by pulling out my Christmas music, making hot chocolate, and decorating. It's time to start feeling in the Christmas spirit!

Once you start with the music and the tree...you'll be in the Christmas spirit!
Sending you some Christmas JOY!!

I'm kinda feeling the same way but the culprit is definitely the weather!! I listen to Christmas music in my car and then I step out into 80+ degree heat and it just ruins it. I'm sure you'll be in the spirit in no time =)

Sometimes its hard to get going... but yep, music will most definitely help! And there are tons of Christmas movies on right now too on every channel!

I have been having a really really hard time with this for some reason to....I'm not sure if it's busyness or something else but we've not put up a tree, I am hopelessly behind in christmas shopping (which is so unlike me because I love buying chrstmas presents and shopping) and my christmas list to the hubs has consisted of occasional "that's cute, just get me that" sigh...can I request a do-over seeing as how christmas is next week?!?!?!

I'm right there with you sister....I'm not in the Christmas spirit at all. :(

I haven't been in much of a Christmasie mood either yet! It's odd... I think the weather has had a big part in that. Well, it'll be here before we know it (next week already!) So, happy decorating tonight! :-)

It must be the weather...it is cold here and this yucky snow. I only want it to snow once, Christmas eve. Turn on 100.3 and that should put you in the spirit :)

Something about this year has me not quite feeling it either. I thought I did but then the excitement was gone. I hope that after the recital this weekend (and getting to watch my baby girl dance to Christmas music) I'll feel much happier about it all. I think it's flying by too which isn't helping. Good luck getting your spirit back. :) XOXO

Not a scrooge at all.

I hope the hot chocolate will do the trick!

PS - don't forget to send me your address. Did you get my email?

i'm a scrooge this year too :( not proud of it either....
i was totally into decorating, i love the way my home looks with the festive decor....i actually never want to take it down.
my problem, shopping for others. i love giving gifts but i just can't drag my butt out to shop.
i know there is something wrong when i can drag my butt to the gym every day but i can't take one day to go christmas shopping, what is wrong with me!?! ha!
bottom line....i feel your pain! ;)

I understand. I just started getting into the spirit this weekend when we went to get our tree. I hope that decorating and hot chocolate puts you in a Christmas state of mind :)

This year I feel the same way. I forced myself into decorating and going to parties... BUT you still have 10 days so don't worry. You still have time!

Its nothing a little Nat King Cole or Bing can't fix!

I hope you found your Christmas groove -- if not, don't feel bad there is always next year :)
