I found this post about my 2009 resolutions and I thought it would be fun to look them over and see how well I've done:
1. Be more domestic - cook meals, learn to bake, iron. Hahahahahaha! Sadly, this just did not happen. I blame it on our schedules. Garth gets home before me so it just makes sense for him to start the meals. But I do plan to remedy this next year because I have a lot of great recipes from Cook Yourself Thin and Hungry Girl I'm excited to try. As for baking, I have a killer chocolate muffin recipe from CYT that I plan on making Christmas day, does that count? And for ironing, better luck next year!
2. Loose these stupid 15 pounds starting tonight. Accomplished!!! And actually it was sixteen pounds.
3. Save, save, save. Check! We have done really well with this and I am proud of us.
4. Read the Bible everyday. Ugh, I need to get better at this. I read my Bible a few times a week but I do want to get in the habit of reading it every day. I am going to work harder on this one next year.
5. Workout at least three times a week. Done and done. It started at three times a week and then I got obsessive and work out seven times a week. I just like like the way I feel afterwards, but I try to listen to my body and take a rest day if I'm really hurting.
6. Eat more fruits and veggies. Oh yeah. Garth and I have made it a habit to eat a fruit with our lunch and a veggie with dinner.
7. Friday night date nights with Garth. This was an easy one to stick with because we look forward to it every week. Granted, sometimes life happens and we can't have the date night on Friday but we just reschedule it to Saturday or a night during the week. It's something I hope we stick to the rest of our lives.
8. Volunteer more. I feel we could always do more, but we volunteered more this year than last so that is at least progress.
9. Join a soccer team. This one just didn't fit our schedules this year because Garth was in school most nights, but he only has one class next semester so we are going to look into this again and hopefully join a team.
10. Encourage and help Garth finish his web master degree this year. Well, he didn't finish just yet. His class load was intense so he took a semester off, but with only 5 classes left I know he'll finish strong next year!
Overall, I think I did better than I expected. I actually forgot about these resolutions, but they just kinda happened naturally so that was cool. And this gives me a good background to help look forward and set goals for this next year.

How neat to look back at this!! CONGRATS on achieving your weight loss goals! SO EXCITING!!! I can't wait to see what you post for your resolutions this next year. I'll have to do the same!
I'd say you did a GREAT job with your resolutions! I love that they are so healthy and beneficial to you and your relationship! :)
Such a great idea. Loved this, I just might do this myself so I have something to look back on next year!!!!!
great job!
Wow...you did great on your list! Congrats!
Wow! You did fabulously on your goals. I don't think I did so well on mine this year - I'm scared to actually think about it.
Congrats, I think you did great! That was a lot of resolutions for one year! I plan on recapping closer to New Years because I am still working on my reading goal!
You made some great progress! That's better than I can say about mine. But, 2010 is just around the corner, and some new resolutions will be in the works! :)
nice job with your resolutions!
I think you did a good job on them, hope you keep it up and/or exceed them next year!
Awesome job with your resolutions! I'm definitely doing the same for the year of 2010! Have a Blessed Day!
Wow...you did a great job! Good for you! So proud of you for losing that weight.
Yesterday I commented on your post that I understand being frustrated about having a hard time losing the last 10 pounds. What I meant to add to that was that the 16 is a huge accomplishment too!
I'm totally with you on the busy schedule! I plan that for why I didn't accomplish all my resolutions too! :)
Wow! So impressive - way to go!
nice work! i don't even remember all my goals ;-)
if you let me know what kind of food you two like, I can provide some recommendations... I just happen to LOVE to cook!
oh, I was also going to say that we have a Text Project going on at my church -- you can sign up and get one chapter of the Bible emailed to you every morning! That really helped me read the Bible regularly this past year.
let me know if you want the link.
I think it is fun to look back at resolutions & see how you've done.
Congrats on achieving so many!
Wow! You did quite well. I think it is so smart for young couples to adopt a healthy lifestyle from the start. it just makes for a healthier and happier life. Keep up the good work!
Wowie! You are absolutely the only person I know who made resolutions and kept them! Great job. Especially the 16 pounds loss and eating healthy bit. They are the toughest!
I think you did great!
Good job girl...ppppshh I don't even remember what my resolutions were this year.
You did amazing to get so many things accomplished. I really need to make some realistic goals for next year and stick to them!
Wow, you did amazingly well. Makes me inspired to get going for 2010! :)
Color me impressed! I'm especially impressed with losing the 15 (ok, 16) lbs and the exercising. They say if you stick with something for 2 months it becomes a habit so sounds like exercise will be a part of your life for a long time. Good for you!
I gave you a blog award!
Looks like you did really well!
I'm always very poor at sticking to my new year's resolutions! You did really well.
I look forward to reading your 2010 resolutions!
xx
Check you out girl! You did an amazing job this past year!! The volunteer one is a good one - I definitely need to volunteer more and try to help make a better difference in this world.
You did much better than I did...;) Have a wonderful Christmas!
Way to go! I'm always horrible with my list... and you, you rocked yours!
