Weight loss by the numbers.

I can't believe I lost 16 pounds, and then plateaued. But instead of complaining about it, I'm going to celebrate how far I've come:

I went from a size 8 to a size 6.
I went from a 32 inch waist to a 26 inch waist.
I can do 80 push-ups in a row.
I can run 4 miles without stopping.
I can do the Shred without gasping for breath and dripping with sweat.
I can hold the plank (for what feels like an eternity) for as long as Jillian and Bob make me.
I have muscle definition in my arms, legs, and my abs.

Now I just want to lose ten more pounds and to do this I need to switch up my workout. Thanks for all your great advice on videos! I did extensive research last night on all these videos. I read countless reviews on Amazon before deciding on my choices. Good workout videos are important to me because I enjoy working out and doing videos more than I love running or going to the gym. I want good videos that will get me results and I don't want to waste money on bad videos again.
So the videos I chose were:

The chose these because they fit into my lifestyle the best. I have rented Jari's Get Ripped video and loved it. It was an intense workout and I was seeing results, but the one I'm getting was reviewed to be even harder so I knew I had to have it. The best part of the video is I can do in the mornings because there is no jumping.
I feel the Cardio Max is a great addition because it will give me all the jumping and planks I could ever want. The reviews said this was a really intense video and that is what I want. I think these two videos will bring the intensity I'm craving so I'm excited!

Holy cow girlfriend - you are kicking butt and taking names! Way to rock it. Don't worry about Mr. Plateau. Keep thinking postive and keep kicking Jillian's butt for a change. Awesome news!

First off, CONGRATS!! What a great accomplishment. You should be so proud of yourself. I have been working out five days a week and stepped on the scale this morning and I was estatic, I will be posting my results today. I love the cardio max, it is such a great workout. You will love it!! Have you tried interval running? or interval running with hills? They work amazing for me and I burn a ton of calories.

Oh my word! That is terrific! I'm incredibly impressed, 80 pushups in a row is a ton! I've never tried any of the shred workout's but I've heard they are insane. Right now I'm focusing on training for a couple of 5ks that I'm hoping to be a part of (my first organized race ever!). The first one is really last minute and is in 2 1/2 weeks! Eeek! Keep up the good work and let us know how the new workouts go!

16 lbs?!?!?! Amazing!!! I am so impressed!

80 push ups in a row? I don't believe it. You need to post a video of that.

Seriously, good for you! I'll bet with the increased muscle tone, 16 lbs looks more like 26 lbs!

Wow! Those are great results. congratulations!

I love Jillian's Shredded video but after doing it regularly for 8 months, I have taken the two months off from the DVD. I have just been doing the elliptical machine and watching the episodes of The Big Loser on the Tivo. Now I want to try Jari's DVD.

Great job!! Plaeatu's are never fun, but way to embrae it, and it is true you have come so far. Just like you said the only way to move out of the plateau is to change it up! Change up the work out, change up the food -- make your body say "wow, this is new!"

Keep it up!
