New Workout Videos: The Verdict.


First up, Slim & Lean. I adore this video! I worked up a good sweat and my arms and legs were shaky after doing this. And, oh my gosh, I was incredibly sore the next day! I love that there is no jumping because I can do this video in the mornings and get my workout over with for the day which I love. AND the best part? Since there isn't any aerobics Garth will do it with me! Love it.


Next up, TBL Cardio Max. I'm doing this video like I did the Shred - 10 days at level 1, 10 days at level 2, and 10 days at level 3. I'm on day 5 of level 1 and I am loving it. I sweat and I am sore afterwards, which makes me a happy camper! I don't think it's as difficult as the Shred, but it's different moves and I know I need to switch it up. Level 2 is with Jillian so I am excited about what fun she has in store (insert sarcasm). So I will keep you posted on this one!
The verdict? Success!

I did the Shred and loved it. My mom got the cardio one you showed and it on day 4 of level 2. She said Jillian is intense, but it's a grea workout. Thanks for sharing how things are going.

Girl I would love to know how you stuck with The Shred - I liked that it was a killer work out and it was definitely effective- but by day four I was so bored I couldn't bare to listen to the same "phone it in" blah blah but at the same time knew I wasn't ready (willing) to go up the next level. Any tips in case I decide to try again?

I may have to check out the first dvd. I did the Jillian's kickboxing dvd on Saturday and I am still so sore! No pain, no gain right.

What exactly is a workout video? (smirk). Seriously though..I haven't done any of my dvd's since we moved because we are living on the second floor and I don't want to annoy my neighbors downstairs. That's a valid excuse,right? RIGHT? LOL (not such a good excuse for not going to the gym either...but whatever).

I love it. It's really great so far! It is expensive, but my husband and I are both doing it, which helps. And actually he bought it with his own spending money that he had been saving up! I decided to join the work out after. Haha.
You might be interested in this though. I have a giveaway going on for Real Simple, AND they just added a health section to their mag! So there is work out stuff, eating healthy, and random health facts. I really love this new addition! Similar to Women's Health but better I think. Check it out!

I took your advice and started The Shred. I really like that the workouts are just 20 minutes. How long are the workouts in these new videos?

Wow, good for you for all this commitment to working out! I've been doing pilates at my gym once or twice a week and I love it. From my first try I was completely hooked. And then my hubby said he noticed more slender curve to my torso, and I was COMPLETELY HOOKED! LOL
Someday I'll work up the nerve to try the Shred...

I've never tried them because I'm a big chicken and if I work out and am sore for one day, the next time I work out is in six months! haha! Bad, bad me! But I've heard lots of people loving those videos! Glad they're a success of your :-)
