No Regrets.

That is our marriage motto and we try to live this everyday. Sure, we know the importance of saving and we do put away each month (hello new house next summer, yayaya!!) but we also think it is important to put money away for date nights and vacations too.
These few years are sacred because they are the only years that will just be the two of us and we want no regrets. We are taking full advantage of being able to go away at a moments notice.
The most wonderful of our vacations was our honeymoon in Hawaii.

We road tripped it to New York City.
Garth surprised me with a weekend in Traverse City.
We flew down to Florida to visit my grandparents.
We went to The Homestead for our anniversary.
Garth surprised me AGAIN with a weekend getaway to Grand Rapids.
We go to beer fests, charity galas, movies, and Chili's because we cherish the quality time with each other. I can look back at our married life and smile because we have done everything I have ever wanted and I can't wait for more fun adventures with my man! No regrets.

Great motto! I needed to hear that...as we've been more focused on saving here lately...it's so stressful!

I love that motto! And your weekend getaways. I think it's time for me to start planning a surprise trip for Husby...

We have the exact same motto. "No Regrets" we did a lot of things other people may frown on, but we are happy and tell ourselves we need to enjoy each other and do what makes us happy. No Regrets.

Great pictures! Enjoy yourself. Oh and next date night, I suggest watermelon margaritas at Longhorns. Changed. My. Life. Haha

I agree! My husband and I are trying to save up money and it's been stressful and difficult. There are things we won't give up because it's going to be just the two of us for a short while so we're trying to find balance as well! Great post!

It's a great motto. Sometimes we get caught up in saving and preparing for the future that we forget to have fun NOW while it's just the two of us.

This is a great motto -- sometimes we get bogged down in saving, putting things off until later, but you are exactly right! Now is the best time :)

You are so smart to take advantage of this time when it's just the two of you! Once you have kids...well, you already know it won't be the same! Good for you!

awwww..... I love it. We also have done quite a bit of traveling in our two years of marriage. I love that we can just take off whenever we want (as long as we have someone to watch the pups of course).

I am so glad that my hubs and I have had all this time just the two of us! I know so many couples that had kids right away, which is awesome, but for us, I'm glad we've been able to pick up and road trip for a weekend, or randomly go to a super nice restaurant on a Tuesday!!

What a beautiful post!! I'm not even married, but this is completely the mindset I think my newlywed friends should have. Some plan for the future TOO much, when they should live now before kids come along!! Good for you. :)

You guys are too cute! I love that you're still honeymooners!!

I can't wait to share pics!

Our pastor suggested that we put away a little bit of money or even just loose change for date nights even if they're "cheap" date nights after we're married. Can't wait for those!!
