Life with Cable.

Well, we have had cable for a little over a month now and I'm loving it. I felt like I had been missing out on so much because I didn't know half the shows on television. I flipped through channels and couldn't believe there were shows on called Tool Academy and Real Chance of Love 2. Garth and I made fun of them and thought they were incredibly stupid...but then we got addicted to them. Reality TV sucks me in every time!
My all time favorite shows areTop Chef, Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Khloe and Kourtney take Miami. I am really routing for Kevin on Top Chef, though I'm pretty sure one of the brothers will win.
Oh, and House Hunters is always a favorite, but sometimes that show just depresses me because there are people my age or a few years older buying SECOND homes on exotic beaches. NOT fair.
I think the best thing that came from getting cable is watching The Food Network. It has been tradition for Garth and I to lay in bed every Saturday morning and drink our coffee and watch The Food Network. It is inspiring us to cook and we are even looking into taking a cooking class together! If you know me at all, you know this is HUGE! Cable was a success.

hehe! I love the VH1 celeb-reality shows. My favorite thing to do on a Sunday morning is to curl up on the couch and watch that trash :) HGTV is another obsession of course!

I hear you!! I get sucked into Real Housewives all the time. And love to watch House Hunters hoping it will spur my husband into getting serious about a house--we are in our 30s and living in an apartment! Food Network is my major time sucker though. Love me some Throwdown with Bobby Flay!

Ahh! Don't torture me. We just cut our cable on our budget line. I'm trying to forget all of those fabulous HGTV shows! :)

Yayay for cable! Some of our favorite times are cuddling on the couch watching bad TV!

Cable and me are BFF. I watch all things Kardashin too. I love everything on HGTV. House Hunters International is a fav, along with Divine Design, Color Splash, and Design Star. Yes, I watch WAY too much TV. :-)

I didn't have cable until I married my hubby last year. Honestly, about the only thing I watch on it is an occasion episode of "What Not to Wear" or old reruns of "Gilmore Girls" or "Brady Bunch". Pathetic, I know. The music stations are nice so I don't have to switch CD's in the player...
Glad you're enjoying it so much! Three Cheers to the Food Network!

I highly recommend taking a cooking class together. It's so much fun! Try to find one that's "hands on" rather than a demo. We always have a blast when we take cooking classes together.

I'm addicted to the Food Network too! I feel like you pick up a lot of little tips watching those shows. I watch Kourtney and Khloe take Miami, too. It's so trashy and nuts sometimes, I like to call it my guilty pleasure show. :)

Husby and I LOVE Top Chef. We actually have to catch up on it before tonight's show. I like the brothers and Heather. Is Kevin the southern guy from Atlanta? If so, we like him too. Those are our top 4.
