After 1.5 years of marriage Garth and I are getting cable today!!! I know this may not seem like a big deal to you, but I have missed my HGTV! Sure, we've talked about getting it before, but it wasn't until Garth realized football season was starting that he put his foot down and ordered it (after talking to me, of course).
It is probably sad that we have been anxiously awaiting this day since ordering it. What can I say, we're easily entertained.

I'm a bit jealous!! We just turned in our DVR box last week. We decided until I get a job out here, spending beacoup bucks on cable every month probably wasnt the best financial move. Oh how I miss my Tv guide!
Wow! We only went a few months without cable one time! It was awful! I'm so happy for you! If you ever want to watch tv...my house is the place to do it! We have every channel you could ever think of and two DVRs! You'll be so happy you have you'll get addicted to way too many shows!

congrats!!! we went without anything but an antana for 2 years....i think when we got the dish we stay in front of the TV for days like zombies! LOL hope ya have a great weekend! = )

Woohoo!!! HGTV is soooo addicting..kind of similar to blogging acutally!
We had cable for the first three months of our marriage. Then we moved out into the country where there is no cable service so we would have had to get satellite. We decided against it and now (three years later) still don't have it. We used to get about 10 channels with the antenna but now that all the stations switched to digital we only get 3. Sometimes I really really really miss it. But then I remember I have good friends who let me mooch off them and watch TV at their house and I can smile again. Someday, I will return to the land of the living and have cable. Someday.
Woohoo! This is something Mr. J and I debate about... I want to forgo having it for awhile to save some money, but he can't seem to fathom the idea of missing any of his favorite shows. Hope you both enjoy getting your cable back! :)

OMG! I can't even imagine if we didn't have cable! I mean I think I would be fine with it. I don't really watch that much TV but the hubs would die without his ESPN! HA We actually downgraded our package not too long ago so that we didn't have EVERY movie channel and at first I think the hubs regretted it but he's adjusting. haha
