I did it AGAIN.
I wasn't going to do it anymore, I was content. But I blame it on the sun...and Garth because I did it AGAIN. After 24 years of never dying my hair, I got married and my new mentality was "new last name, new look." So I started with blonde highlights and that progressed to blonde hair, and then to red hair. But all this time at the pool and in the sun has changed my hair back to blonde. And I'm not gonna lie, I just don't think blonde is my color. I'm Italian and my olive complexion looks better with dark hair. So I was gonna go back to my regular hair color, but while in the hair dye aile Garth insists I try Ultimate Black. I was hesitant, but he insisted.

I have 2-3 friends who did the whole blonder than blonde thing (even though they were natural brunettes)...it started as highlights and before you knew it, they had bright blonde hair all over. They have all gone back to a color similar to what you have now, and I am a HUGE fan. It looks beautiful.

I love it!!! I get those urges for color changes too. I actually did the black color 2 years ago for Halloween (I couldn't find the right wig) and I loved it on me once the harshness faded. My hair is naturally a dark blonde so it shows through pretty fast.
However you are so brave for letting Garth pick out a color for you. He did wonderful though!!! The one and only time Brian picked out my color I ended up Kool-Aide red and had to wash it twice a day with Tide w/Bleach and then finally had to dye it dark just in time for my sister's wedding. LOL!!!

I love the new hair color. Im an Italian with the olive skin tone also. I have had my fair share of going back and forth with the blonde highlights, but I always feel like the dark looks better on me. I had to giggle while reading your post, because just yesterday I was complaining about how the sun had given my highlights a weird tone. Definitely, wishing for the "Garth Look" right about now!

I've always wished my hair was black, but I've never been brave enough to dye it. It's so dark brown that many people just call it black, but I think brown to black is a big change. BIG change.
