Wive's Week

I had 2 events this weekend so I have been incredibly busy. I feel like I didn't have a weekend! When the alarm went off this morning I asked Garth why he set his alarm on a Sunday. What a sad realization that it was actually Monday morning.
The events went really well and we had a great turn out for both of them. I had amazing volunteers who made my job fun! I love event days and I love coming home so exhausted after the hard work paid off. There is nothing like relaxing after working really hard!
Did things go wrong? Of course. The table rental guys were 1.5 hours late, the caterer was 2 hours late, etc. But none of the guests had any idea the extra work we had to put in to make it work and that is what counts.
Garth gave me a foot rub when I got home and took me out to dinner to celebrate. He is so amazing, isn't he? He even proclaimed this week as Wive's Week where I am not allowed to do dishes and I get whatever I want. He is such a sweetheart and I am blessed to be his wife!!!
I missed all of you and I look forward to catching up on your blogs! Happy Monday!

sounds like a hectic weekend! Hope you get some well deserved rest!

That's the key to a great event - the guests have no idea of the mishaps. What kindof events do you plan? I'm a planner too, so I love hearing about others.

Glad to know things went well even with a few minor mishaps!

So glad that it all went well. And sorry that you feel like you lost your weekend, but at elast you have a hubby to sweep you off your aching feet and whisk you away on a date night. I bet that made up for it!!

and PS: Welcome back to blogland!

I'm glad the events went well and that Garth was a sweetie!

I totally did not set my alarm properly this morning -- I thought I had set it for 6:30am, but nooo, it was 6:30pm! Luckily, I woke up and wasn't late, but it destroyed my morning workout plan!
