Big News!!!

I mentioned a while ago that Garth was pursuing ciizenship in the U.S. He was born in South Africa and lived there half his life. Well...
6 months, $700, and 2 trips downtown later and Garth has passed his citizenship exam and interview!!! Now, we just have to wait for the invitation in the mail of his court date where he will be sworn in as an official American Citizen!
Garth and I studied all week. I can tell you all you ever wanted to know about America. Did you know there are 27 amendments to the constitution? The 15th, 19th, 24th, and 26th pertain to voting rights. Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House. Francis Scott Key wrote the "Star Spangled Banner." Patrick Henry said "Give me liberty or give me death." I could go on and on...But all that to say, we studied hard and Garth passed with flying colors!!! WOOHOO! We are off to celebrate!

Congrats. I remember they always tried to trip us up with those Civic tests in government classes to see if we could pass citizenship. I was always one of the few who easily sailed through because I am just a nerd like that.

Replying to your comment:

I am no hero trust me. lol. I just need to get back into shape. It's becoming tougher to get up, I get so tired during the day. :( But definitely awesome that I am still doing it.

My hubby got sworn last September exactly on our one month of being married. He is from Cuba.
