Summer Tease

This weekend was such a tease. We got just a taste of summer, and then it changed back to cold and rainy.
But I loved every second of our summery weekend. Friday we grilled with my parents, brother and his girlfriend. We had grilled veggies, BBQ chicken, and sweet potato fries. Yummo! We went for a walk together, played ladder golf, and had a great time.
Saturday Garth had to work on a project most of the day so I devoured Eclipse. Love it! Then we had a movie marathon since it was storming. The movies were totally lame - The Wrestler and Deception left much to be desired. The one movie I was looking forward to, Bedtime Stories, wouldn't play! I love the Red Box though, because we called to tell them Bedtime Stoires wouldn't play in either of our DVD players and they gave us 2 free movies, score!
Sunday we went to church for a great talk on marriage and then out to lunch with my parents. Afterwards, Garth and I decided to go for a walk by the lake. I love that we live so close to a big lake! We walked around, talked, and watched the crazy Michiganders swim - yes swim. We watched the boats on the water, the people putting their docks out, and guys polishing their boats. Then it started to pour and Garth and I ran back to our car as we got soaking wet and jumped through the puddles.
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing. Garth studied and I tried to finish Eclipse. The weekends don't get much better than that.

Sounds like an amazing weekend! I would LOVE to live so close to a lake. I bet the walk was beautiful. And there's nothing better than a movie night. Bedtime Stories is so cute, I love Adam Sandler, I think you'll like it.

Have a great week girl!

What a fabulous weekend! I so wish we had somewhere fun to walk but our "neighborhood" consists of one block so we just go around and around and around it. Not much fun to be had there.
