I am on my 4th day of level 3 and I am STILL sore!! It's tougher than the other levels, but I am enjoying it the most. I really have to push myself to keep going, especially during the rockstar jumps. If you don't know what those are, you're lucky! At the end of the video I am literally dripping with sweat. Gross, I know, but that is the kind of workout I like! I really feel like I burned a ton of calories.
Last week I maintained and I was happy with that because I didn't eat great. Seriously, food is my weakness and I struggle with self control because I love food so much. I ate chili cheese fries and pizza last week. But worse than that, I ate a WHOLE bag of Cheetos (baked!!) by myself. How did this happen? Blame it on a stressful week, but Garth and I had a glass of wine after work. We usually only drink on the weekends, and this is why. It's kind of a "give a mouse a cookie" epidemic with me. I drink a glass of wine and I want some cheese to go with it, thus, insert bag of Cheetos. So, how the heck did I maintain? Icontinued doing the Shred, and I even added in some running and kickboxing with the Shred to balance the Cheetos, pizza, etc.
This week I am back on track. I have been serious about working out everyday and serious about keeping my calories under 1200 and writing everything I eat down. It sounds simple, but it is hard and it is worth it. I lost another 2 pounds this week!!! Garth said he is really noticing definition in my abs and that my abs are looking flat. He even said my legs were thinner and more defined. And I must say, I agree with him! My hard work is paying off and I'm loving the results.

woohoo! Way to go!
I just got Shred and I can't wait to start! I know I'm going to die.... I'm so out of shape, but it will be worth it ;)
and I am the exact same, I have no self control when it comes to food, I LOVE it!
Have a great week ;)
Ditto, I'm the same way with food. It's a slippery slope with a snowball gaining size as I go downhill!
Sounds like you're doing awesome!
xoxo
Wow, congratulations!! That is SO rewarding to see results! Way to go - it's inspiring!!
Good for you! I wish I had the self control to work out every day -- I'm pretty good about healthy eating but LOATHE working out :)
Good for you girl!!! I am so with you. I can work my butt off, but the eating right thing is something I will probably never be able to manage (at least not consistently). I need my ice cream, mexican food, and pizza!
you go girl!! why is it when you're younger food is just food, now that I'm older, I just LOVE it!!!!!!
Congratulations!! That is awesome. I love the way I feel when I work out hard and see results. I haven't made it to level 3, but am feeling less nervous now from your review!
That is awesome! Keep it up..you are doing really good! I gotta check out this whole shred thing. :)
Wow! Congrats! Now that I have a job for summer lined up the hubby said I can get the shred next time he gets paid, I cannot wait!!!! :)
You are doing so great! I am trying to keep my butt in gear, but I too struggle with food and cravings. I have been working out daily, and I try to push myself more because I don't probably always eat like I should. I'm hoping this week and next month is better.
yay! all sounds good... congrats!
WOW! What an awesome update! You are doing so great! I am going to start my Shred video tonight. I am a little nervous!
yay! i think i've only worked out 20 of the 28 days i've been doing it, but i'm feeling better! :)
I am so excited for you! I don't do Shred every day (even though I should!)
how awesome! I only did the Shred one day and I haven't done it since...I keep saying I am going to but lately I have just been super unmotivated to do anything!
good for you. it's people like you that I hate. JUST KIDDING!! haha. keep up the good work.
Congrats, girl! I love it when my body responds to workouts and eating right. Not that it's happened in years but it will again soon, I just know it:-)
You go girl!!
I am so proud of you!!
You Rock!!
Keep at it!!
Good for you to jump right back into it even though you went off track a bit! You are inspiring me with your determination and your results!
Wow Lynds!! That's awesome!!
You are my hero! LOL! I wrote a not so nice post about my first day at the shred this morning!! :) It killed me!! But if you are still going strong at day 24 then I can do it too...cheetos and all!!!!
Those rock star jumps are a killer!!! I found that level 3 was hard, but most enjoyable.
Way to go!!!!!!Thats awesome!
ps- I love the book "if you give a mouse a cookie"!
Good for you! Keep it up! I just started to Shred on Sunday, haven't been able to bring myself to do it again because I'm still soo sore!
Good for you!!! You're pretty much my hero! I have been a slacker the last couple of days. I moved up to level 2 last week and really like it! It's more of a challenge but I like the workouts better. I need to get my butt back into it!
I'm on day 3 and I still want to curse the tv about 10 minutes into it! Are you following a specific diet, or just counting calories?
Congrats! It's always exciting when you begin to see results.
way to go girly! thats awesome!
You are officially my hero. Way to go!
congrats lindsey!! You are my motivation:)
Congrats that is great news! Those rockstar jumps get me too! :) Keep up the great work!
Yay! That is awesome news, lady! I'm still stuck on level 1, but I've been eating healthy for a month now. I put one some jeans this morning that I couldn't wear in November, and they were actually loose! Now if I could continue to stay away from the wine...
That's wonderful! Glad to hear your hard work is paying off!

Yay for you!!! I have the same issue with the "give a mouse a cookie"--I misstep one night and then I need more the next night (or right after). It's a vicious cycle I'm still trying to break. Congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome!
Great job! Yes, the rockstar jumps kill me! AND the jumping lunge things... whatever they are called. By the end of the second set I want to DIE! I have been counting calories by writing them down since the end of December and I LOVE IT. I take a break on the weekends but it is really helpful. Great job girl!
Congrats! I'm going to try this shred video! It sounds great!
Way to go, Lindsey, keep up the good work. ;) I agree with you about food though..who doesn't love it!?
That is awesome! Way to go, friend! I so need to get this! I've been totally slacking this week. I went to the dr. yesterday and found out I've gained 3 pounds. ugh. And I was still trying to loose weight!
hey work out for me to will ya? I'm out until almost the end of June.
Yay! I just got The Shred as well. I haven't started it yet b/c we are trying to get ready to sell the house. I am somewhat excited to start!
P.S. I love that you consider baked Cheetos "cheese" to go with your wine!
Keep going! It's almost over!
its kind of rewarding when you have a pig out - bad week and you didnt move the scale. dont you wish it worked like that every single day!?
This is my first time at your blog and it is so much fun to read! Great job on working out!
YAYAYAYAY!!!! Congratulations on maintaining and 2 lbs down! That is SO exciting! I hope I have results like you do!
Wooohooo!! You are awesome! Congrats on doing so well. I NEED to pick up a copy of the Shred!
Ok, sweet friend, you earned a post on my blog...I bought the DVD!! YIKES! And sent you an email. I'm impulsive, what can I say....
You go girl!!!
Shred away =)
Great job!!!! You always feel good when you start seeing the results! Like you I hate to 'diet'. I love food and I love to eat what I want. I figure as long as I'm doing some sort of exercise I can eat that way!
Oh by the way, I tagged you for an award! :)
way to go lady!!!
and i figure if you're working that hard then you deserve the food!!! could be why i never lose weight and run all the time!!
rock it girl!! congrats on the weight loss! i say i work out mostly so i can eat, you know i love food too=)!
I'm on day 2 in level one. We just started yesterday. I am so sore. But you are motivating me! I really don't want to find out what a rockstart jump is though...that makes me nervous! What do you plan to do once you finish day 30?
Good for you honey! I'm so proud of your progress!
Girl...I still get sore doing Level 1! Way to go to keep doing it each day. I am NOT doing well!
This "Shred" both excites me and scares me. I'm still not sure if I want to try it!
You have an award waiting for YOU at my blog!
Enjoy!
keep up the great work!
Good job! I know how you feel about food..it's my weakness too. I have no self control. But good job keeping on the workout schedule! I don't know if I could be that disciplined.
That is so great and you should be proud of yourself! You're doing an awesome job :)
YAY! YAY! YAY! Sticking to a tough routine is sooo hard. I have a quick question about Shred. Is it worth it when you are on another diet to buy the book. I am doing Medifast (low cal...like 900 cals a day...killer) and just want to pump up my exercise. I have the Biggest Loser exercise book...just curious :)
those baked cheetos..they are a killer I tell you! You just cant stop! I was like an orange fingered monster last night with my cheetos!
Good job on level 3! I just did it for the first time. It was rough! Food is my weakness as well. I went home to visit family this past week and definitely gained... back on track this week!
I'm the same way with food...during finals week I ate such bad things. When I'm stressed out a snack of carrots and celery just doesn't cut it!
Come to think about it, I haven't had any proper workout lately and I'm gaining weight *sigh* I really need the motivation :)
