Addiction

So I read Twilight to see what all the hype was about. I didn't love the book. It took me a long time to read because it never truly captured my interest. I pushed through and finished it so I could watch the movie when it came out on video.
After the movie I was hooked and wanted to read the second book. Well, let me tell you that now I am so sucked in! I cannot put New Moon down! I read 400 pages in 2 days and I cannot get enough!

Thanks for the comment sweet girl!!

I love your blog too!!! Oh my, I haven't gotten sucked into the Twilight doom of death yet...LOL...I'm worried I will become obsessively addicted!!!

I've read the series and yes very addicting. I was really upset with the movie though, I felt like there were a lot of things left out and if you haven't read the book, you wouldn't understand some of it.

AmyT said...

Yea I got sucked in as well......once I started I couldn't stop - I've read all of them - even her "5th" online. That one is through Edwards eyes...in regards to the first book. I read them all within a few weeks time.

Loved the first book! I wasn't crazy about the movie though (although R-Pat is HOT! I can't wait to read the next few books.

You've been bitten ;)

I read all of the books through a second time recently. I just can't get enough. However, I have not seen the move and don't plan to.

They sucked you in...haha..I still haven't been sucked in, but they all keep pushing

I'm totally addicted too...I'm reading New Moon for the second time right now so my memory will be refreshed for the third book. I sit down to read it for awhile, and before I know it I've blown through a couple hundred pages without even realizing it...those books are like drugs!

Megan said...

I'm just like you! I didn't like the first book, but the movie made me want to read the second book. I never read it, perhaps I should now?

I still haven't got on board but I'm curious... I might have to read the books just to see what everyone is talking about!

Sarah said...

Wow! I am surprised you hated the first book and love the 2nd. I was the opposite, as I felt that the fisrt book was the best of all.

Kelli said...

Hehe... see, I'm on my 3rd read through with the books, but since New Moon is SO depressing in the middle I cheated and skipped past the sad parts! I can't do depressed right now! :-) Eclipse and Breaking Dawn will blow your mind! I love them!!

I don't know what to think of the Twilight mania. I watched the movie and thought it was ok but I just can't sit down and read the books. I know I'm alone in this world. ;)

Thanks for your comment! Your blog is too cute! We actually did buy merlot! I also bought Arbor Mist Strawberry! I love me some Arbor Mist! And I've been wanting to try The Shred, the husband won't let me buy it until I have a job though... Haha!

I've heard a lot of people say that they didn't think they'd like Twilight, but once they start reading they get addicted. That's why I won't start ;)

Girl Meets Beau said...

OK, first off, I love your new blog design!! It looks awesome! Next, I just read your post about level 2 of the shred and now I'm terrified to try it tonight...I'm already behind a couple of days :( Last, I haven't gotten into Twilight yet. I'm afraid that it might consume me if I do!

I keep hearing how great these books are! I think I need to read them this summer.

You're not alone! I don't think the writing is particularly great, but the story line is fantastic.

Yes yes yes!!! Just WAIT until your hubby is jealous of Edward.

That's what happened in my case... hahaha!

welcome to the club! At first, I was like "vampires, you couldn't pay me to read about that!" Then I read them (of course no one paid me) and now, I LOVE the books! So great! Just wait, they get crazy!

I will say that thought the first half of all the books were hard to keep reading but the second half...couldn't put them down!

Cristina said...

Wow! I want to read them. I want to understand the hype, but I can't force myself to buy the book. :)

Kim @ NewlyWoodwards said...

I actually thought that New Moon was the hardest to read. I thought it was excruciating.

I liked the movie too.

Shoshanah said...

Hey I just stumbled across your blog and wanted to say from here the books just get better (and even more addictive)

Perfectly Imperfect said...

ok. so i'm reading it too to see what the hype is. i'm still on the first book and i just don't get it!! i've been reading it for well over a month, so not into it!

maybe i'll have to watch the movie like you did..

LOL! This looks like an entry I posted. It took me two months to read Twilight. I was not a fan. I finished it about two weeks before it came out on DVD and while I had New Moon, I wanted to wait to read it until I saw the movie. Now I'm on Eclipse! :) HOOKED is right!
