Weekends go by too fast

This weekend was so much fun. Friday night my brother and his girlfriend came over. We always have a great time with them. We played lots of games, and Garth made this yummy tomato and zucchini pasta.
Saturday Garth's mom and sister came over and we talked, played games, and Garth made this delish broccoli chicken pasta.
Sunday we went to church and then out to lunch with my parents. It was such a beautiful day so we went for a walk around the lake, checked out some open houses, talked, and drank Starbucks. So fun! Then we came home to relax. We finally watched Fireproof and we both LOVED it! I seriously want to own this movie. It was so well written and it couldn't have come at a better time - when the economy is rough and divorce is at a high. And if you rent or own the movie, you have to watch the gag reel. HILARIOUS. I just adore this movie, so much so that Garth and I have started The Love Dare. Our goal is to read it every morning before our prayer time.
What a great weekend and it just went by waaaay too fast.

That sounds like a great weekend! The weekend did go by fast, but I didn't mind this time since I am off for Spring Break. I really need to remember to get that movie the next time I am looking for a movie to rent.

Oh, and I loved Fireproof too! I cried and cried and cried. And then I wanted to watch it with hubby the next night, and the kids managed to bust our tv. :(

Oh well, as soon as we get a new one I'm whipping that movie out. I think he will like it!

I haven't seen Fireproof yet but I want to watch it. I've also heard about this Love Dare thing but don't know much about it. Care to share some of the things suggested by that book? Just curious. Glad you had a great weekend! :-)

Gosh, I love weekends like that! And Fireproof...amazing. We watched it with a theater full of people from church, then we all attended a 6 week class based on the movie...it was awesome. Just in our class alone we saw a marriage on the edge of divorce, restored! It was amazing!

What a fun weekend!!

I agree- weekends do go by too fast. I think that we should only be allowed to work 4 day weeks and have a 3 day weekend. That's more like it :)

I totally agree with you bout the weekend. Last night before bed I said to Luke, "Is the weekend seriously over already?!" I just can't believe how fast they go.

Luke and I watched Fireproof a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good...I've heard testimonies of marriages that have been saved because of it. Luke got me "The Love Dare" for Christmas, but we haven't been disciplined enough to begin it yet! Hopefully this summer when I'm off work. Let me know how it is :-)
