Runnin' and Runnin'

Ok so did I ever tell you how much I HATE to run? With a passion. But when the weather is so darn gorgeous I suck it up. Though I feel like I'm going to die while I'm running, I feel so good now! I ran 3 miles. I won't tell you the time because I don't even know. I'm slow, but there are a lot of hills. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I'm continuing to eat well, count my calories, and exercise everyday. I haven't weighed myself because I read in Fitness magazine not to... for at least a month. I think this is good advice because when I weigh myself and I'm not where I want to be I get mad and give-up for awhile...and eat without counting calories. If I weigh myself and I'm pretty close to my goal weight I get really excited and I eat. It's a lose-lose situation so I'm just doing what I'm doing and I'll weigh myself in a few more weeks.
Let me tell you though, I put on my work pants yesterday and they were really lose. I was ecstatic!!! Seriously, it put me in the best mood all day long.

You are stronger than I am. I will not run, I walk. That's probably why I have a big oh booty.

That's AWESOME...I hate to run too...wish I liked it...it seems like a great form of cheap therapy. But I still got some weight to lose before I can run without my body rebelling against me!

YAY! I love to run, but I'm a treadmill runner. I feel like I'm gonna die when I run outside! I need to get back into it. I've been so busy I've been slacking big time!

Thanks for your sweet comment!

I hate running too. I get side stitches after about a mile. I have to work out a the gym, and can only do the oliptical (however the heck you spell it!) machine. My husband is a runner though...I admire you!

I used to hate running but this year I have started to love it for some odd reason. It's a great way to clear my head and appreciate the world around me. Way to go on the exercising and eating healthy! Yay for lose fitting pants! Go girl!

Congratulations! What a great feeling. I always wished I could run. I'm just not one of those people. I can swim, I can bike, but I can't run.

Good for you..that's a great tip about the weighing...I do the same thing! If I'm not where I think I should be...I eat...and if I am losing...I think I can splurge and be okay :) Stupid!

Woohooo!! Way to go! I hate going by the scale because muscle weighs more than fat, so although you are losing fat, you may be gaining muscle--I go by how I look, and feel. Keep up the good work, girl!

Kelli said...

Yay!! You go girl!! You need to run over here to my neck of the woods so we can run together! Ha!

Good for you! I'm not a big fan of running either...it hurts my knees, but just like you I really enjoy being outside and hate the gym on gorgeous days...

Awesome job!! I used to hate working out and now I love it, once you start to see the results you can't help but love it!!

Good for you! I really hate running. really.

When trying to lose weight, I think you are right about not weighing yourself- but if you are trying to maintain- I would probably gain 10 pounds before I noticed it if I didn't weigh myself every few days!

Keep up the good work!

You crack me up!! It's so scary how much we're alike because I do the exact same thing! Especially if I see I'm losing weight I will eat anything and can totally justify it!!

Yay for your 3 miles! I did a 3 miler today too.. It was so nice outside you almost had too!!

Congrats on making yourself stick to it!! I don't know if I would be able to if I didn't have a workout buddy relying on me!!

Way to go my friend! So proud of you.

I despise running! But it's probably because I am not good at it at all.
Sounds like you're really rocking away on losing weight and taking care of yourself! I totally need to follow in your footsteps.

I don't like running either, which is why I usually stick to the elliptical or the bike, but running outside makes it sooo much better! Congrats on your success so far- I wish I had your eating discipline!

Kudos to you! I second the scale advice. I'm on a weightloss mission and I haven't touched the scale. It's all about how I look and feel.
