Baby Talk

When Garth and I have kids, we both want a boy. Most think I'm crazy because most girls want...er...girls. But I think girls are too high maintance!! This might change in the next 4 years (when we think we will be ready for kids, but who is ever really ready for kids right?), but for now I want boys. The main reason I want boys is because Garth was the cutest little boy EVER. How can you not love this sweet face?!We had a conversation last night about our future little one:
Garth: "I hope our baby has your skin."
Me: "I hope our baby has your curly hair."
Garth: "I hope our baby has my hair and my nose, but your teeth."

We. are. so. weird.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

When my husband and I got pregnant- we wanted a boy sooo bad! We thought we would not do well with a girl at all- I am soo not a girlie girl... but now that I have my sweet baby GIRL.. I cannot imagine life without her!
Girls are just little lovies :) Don't rule them out yet!

That sounds like a conversation Dustin and I would have. We say things like that all the time.

I really hope our kids get my husbands thick full hair. It really isn't fair that it's wasted on a boy, I mean it's wavy without being unruly and every time he gets a hair cut it looks like someone shaved three small dogs beneath him.

I want boys too! They are so fun and way less maintance (esp. in the teen years). Also, this is kind of mean, but I'm afraid we'd have MASSIVE girls (I'm 5'8" and my husband is 6'5" and both have athletic builds). I always hated being such a tall and athletic girl growing up (it's OK now). I just feel like our genes are better for boys.

You sound just like me. I was so nervous before the ultrasound that it would be a girl--I would have been happy of course, but I remember me as a teenager--no thanks! Your kids will be adorable no matter who they take after!

Garth was a precious little boy! That little face is just the cutest! My husband hasn't said if he wants a girl or a boy, but I would love to have a little girl. I actually think one of each would be nice!

We both want a boy too. There are 3 girls in my family and 3 boys in Rob's family - and we both agree that his mom probably had an easier time than mine. Girls are so emotional! Ha! But obviously we'd be blessed to have either. Sooo, any little kiddos any time soon? Pregnant women blogs are so fun to read! :O)

Coming from a family of four girls, I'm not sure that I'd know how to take care of a boy, but I know when J and I get married and start making babies, I'll be happy with whatever the stork delivers!

Have a great day =)

I've always wanted a whole "flock of boys." Because boys love their moms, while girls throw tantrums. I have no desire to put up with what I put my own mother through when I was a teenager! This is my theory, and I'm stickin' to it.

I so want boys too! I was always a bit of a tom boy, even though I cheered through my entire school career and my family only sees us with boys!

But at the end of the day, when Jon and I do have babies, I'll just have whatever the Lord will give me! Although I hope he gives me a boy ;)

You're too cute!

aww so cute! I have no idea what to do with a baby boy. No brothers.. and marriage is my first introduction to the ugliness that can be male habits. :) Good luck lady! I imagine we'll have kids about the same time!

boys vs. girls. they are sooooo different! my son will play with a baby doll and then start banging it's head against the wall. he's so rough. but yes, in the long run, girls end up dramatic and high maintenance. i'm preggo with my third, and i really think i want another girl though...
but i don't care as long as it's healthy. it's fun to guess and plan your future children!

all i need is love... said...

You're so right. Girls are so high maintenance. I have two of them...and good lord, everyone knows that there can only be ONE queen in the house!!

BTW, I love your blog too!

What a cutie pie!!!!

Chris and I talk about kids a lot, we're thinking maybe next year for us. And it's true, I do kind of want girls - but because I grew up with 2 sisters! I don't know about little boys! But, I'll be happy with either.

Another item we have in common!!! I also want a boy. (If Hubz and I decide to have kids)
And I have a picture of Hubz from when he was about 18 months, that I carry with me everywhere!
