The story of how we became MALL WALKERS

I didn't feel great Monday so I wanted some warm, slightly spicy thai food. Like a great husband, Garth obliged. He calls me moments later to say our fave thai place is closed. No reason, just dark and locked up. Weird. I guess it was a sign we should stay in and cook. So Tuesday rolls around and if you know anything about us, you know we love our 2 for Tuesdays at Baja Fresh. You get 2 HUGE burritos for the price of one, SCORE! $7 for two people's dinner with leftovers for lunch, can't beat it. So I pick Garth up from work and head over to Baja Fresh and the lights are off and the doors are locked. You have got to be kidding me! Two nights in a row, what is up?!
Well, we're near Red Lobster and we have a gift card so we decide to head over there. The food was delicious and we were very full. The mall is across the street and Garth suggested we get these boots I've been dying to have, so I happily agree. It turns out Garth's secret motive was to walk off the meal because after we learned the store is out of my boots, and will be until next winter, we walked around the mall for over 2 hours. It was fun though! We laughed, chatted, people watched, and I even got my rings cleaned and fell in love with them all over again. We headed home without buying a single thing. This is how we became mall walkers. The end.

Mall Walkers - did you see any old ladies speed walking past you?

We have those at our mall! It's a great idea, climate control and safety!!

Way to go walking off that meal!!

I love it:) I love that Garth suggested the mall to you! Wish my hubby would suggest that! We have a red lobster gift card right now too:) Did you ever find out why in the world the two restaurants you went to were closed? That is weird!

Mmmm. Baja Fresh. There is no Baja Fresh in Texas (at least not in San Antonio). I miss it oh so badly! I hope you can resume your Tuesday night tradition soon!

cute story, Lindsey Lou! Did people ever call you that? That's what my parents used to call me. I, too, get my rings cleaned every time that I darken the mall's doorstep, which is about once every 2-3 months.

In MI you have to be a mall walker..too much snow!

You have much more restraint than I because there is no way I could walk the mall for two hours without buying anything! :)

I would have been so bummed about all three of those things (2x missing out on dinner and the boots)! At least you turned it into a positive!!

Love this idea! Hubby might think it's a trick if I try to get him to go for a walk in the mall. It's definitely worth a try.

now I want a burrito. :)

Ha! Although, mall walking is not a bad idea. You get some exericse, get to browse through stores, and avoid the cold outside! Maybe I should try this...

LOL! That was really cute...however..I can't step foot into any mall without whipping out my credit card...my husband banned me for life!

Y'all are seriously too cute! My best friend and I have been so cold walking lately, that we have thought about becoming mall walkers! We decided if we did become mall walkers that we had to buy matching wind suits!!! :)

So funny...I hate when places are closed unexpectedly like that. Don't they know I'm hungry! I very much enjoy walking the mall, my only problem is I don't have the will power not to buy anything...

Hmmm 2 for 1 Baja Fresh! I gotta see if the one here(California) does this. I have MALL WALKED on accident ... it was good ... about an hour with my friend ... passed by the doors and realized it was dark out! Will def go to the mall to walk ... it does get a little tempting with all the pretty things in the windows :)
