Random Musings

1. We mall walked again yesterday. I don't know why we didn't think of doing this sooner!
2. I am seriously starting my New Year diet/lifestyle change TODAY. No more excuses, today is the day!
3. Garth and my brother made a bet on the Rose Bowl. If Penn State won, we had to make them dinner. If USC won, they had to make dinner. We won the bet so we are going over for dinner tonight, yay!
4. I am beyond excited about our one year anniversary trip. We have been searching and discussing this forever and it was so hard to find what we were looking for. We either spent all our money to get to a tropical location and gave up the luxury hotel. OR spent all of our money on a luxury hotel and could only stay for a weekend. Then we found it, just far enough for a fun roadtrip and romantic and luxurious without the insane pricetag. Perfection. We are going to ski and drink hot chocolate and wander around the village and it will be so romantic!
5. I have to work tomorrow, meh! I really can't complain though because I only have to work about 4 Saturdays out of the whole year. And this is a small event, it's just waking up early on a Saturday that I'm not looking forward to.
6. I just ended that sentence above with a preposition and I hate doing that!
7. I am meal planning next week, hello domesticated!
8. I still need a hair cut.
9. We need to go grocery shopping. Garth has been out of shaving cream for over a week and his beard needs to go.
10. Can't wait for American Idol next week!!
11. I just made Garth a doctor's appt - I feel like such a wife.
12. We browsed a maternity store yesterday because we're so weird AND not planning on kids for at least another 2 years.
13. Garth and I doing a Song of Solomon study by Tommy Nelson. So awesome!!
14. I'm pretty sure I'll never be the wife who cooks her husband dinner every night or sews his missing buttons, but the house will always be clean and his laundry will always be done and put away!
15. Garth is super excited Texas won the Fiesta Bowl Monday night. He woke me up with all his cheering.
16. Thankful football is almost over so I get my husband back.

The place you are going for your anniversary looks fabulous. I am sure you two will have a blast!

I, too, hate ending a sentence with a preposition. You aren't alone :)

Unfortunately, in my house, once football season is over, it's basketball time. I can cheer for my team with the best of them, but I don't see any reason in watching every single other game the entire season! I love the random musings!

You are not alone with ending sentences with prepositions. Glad your team won...a free dinner is worth it esp when you guys win! You go girl with the diet...stick with it and be that fabulous queen who sticks with her diet!

By the way, football spring training starts in the spring, so in a few months it will be back...sorry to be the bad news breaker!
Have a great weekend!!!

I so want to go there. That's totally driving distance for us. =) Thanks for the tip.

I'm itching for a vacation. We took a weekend for our anniversary, but I'd love to go somewhere for a week, esp. since I'm just rounding out a big event at work and feeling stressed. I will need a vacation! =) You are making me want it more!

Have lots of fun!

Shanny said...

Yay for being "such a wife" and making Garth's appt. =)

And I would love to do the mall walk but.. um.. I would so go broke. I have no self control once I'm at the mall, which is why I avoid them!
