Weird, huh? These two kids ran in front of Garth and I as we all entered the plane - the two kids walking in front of us made me picture us as this big happy family. I know this is strange but it got me imagining when Garth and I add on to our little family.
On the plane kids were everywhere and the parents were doing all kinds of adorable things to keep their kids occupied and happy. Watching these scenes unfold was so sweet. This dad across from us was singing to his sweet baby. I looked at Garth and saw him watching this too.
After the trip I exclaimed, "Riding planes make me want kids!" And Garth, much to my surprise, said "Me too! I can't wait to be a dad!" AWWW!
Ok ok back to reality...we want kids and we can't wait to have kids but the reality is it's not our time. Kids are expensive and, to be honest, we are loving the "us" time to travel, go out on dates without a babysitter, and to just work on building and strengthening our relationship.

awww...that's really sweet! I know what you mean about the "us" time...it's somehow seemed to disappear since we had a baby...I can't wait to go out again just the two of us!
I've always always heard to at least wait a year--have a year to yourselves to learn about each other, figure out cohabitation, etc.
That said, I want babies, too!!!!
And once you do have kids you will be great parents and they will feel the love!
Thats sweet but I agree focus on each other right now it will make you better parents in the long run!
I always feel the exact opposite way. I am always on planes with screaming babies or kids misbehaving, so that makes me NOT want to have kids!
You are so the opposite of me!
I fly so much...and I consider it the best form of birth control ever :)
I reccomend to EVERYONE to be married AT LEAST 3 years before getting preg. Those years that I had with husby were fantastic and I would not trade them for ANYTHING. We have had an absolute blast being "young married couple" who can just up and GO! So fun.
we are in the same boat! it is not our time either. but our time will come!!!
I love to see dads with their children. It warms the heart. :-)
I totally agree with you, I cannot wait to have children and just being around them and seeing Dimples interact with them, and knowing Dimples works with kids on a weekly basis makes my biological clock go crazy. All in due time, though!
Ha! I know how you feel! When I was in the airport this summer I saw the cutest little family and it ade me want to have a cute family like that! But yes...years from now. I enjoy being able to get up and too much!!
That is too sweet!!!
Now that we're married, I've been thinking a little more about kids myself. Nothing's been spoken yet... we both want kids, but I think we're trying to make it through the season before discussing when we want to have them! ;-)
And by the way - don't feel bad about the "lazy" nights, once in a while!!!
awe that is so sweeet!
ps thanks for the sweet comments on my blog : )
You are just too cute.
When Ryan and I go anywhere, stores planes restaurants, we leave thinking.... kids are great, in moderation! We must be farther off the kid wagon.... =) It seems like we're always sitting next to the crabby stinky mean ones. =)
We are not as heartless as we sound.
I bet you'll be great parents! We're not quite ready for kids yet either :)
Wow! Most times I hear people say after airplane rides with children that they don't want kids. Glad you guys had a good experience with them!
I currently have baby fever right now though so I feel your kid wanting.
I tagged you on my blog! Go check it out! :)
I am right there with you! Children are so wonderful...and it is so exciting to think about that next chapter in our lives...but it is also important to enjoy the one we are in now!
What a great plane ride... maybe the kids were drugged. lol. I usually get the ones (meaning mine) that scream the entire way. :)
Good times.
My dogs are enough for me. I think I would lose my mind if I had kids.
what a precious post! being around kids makes me want them too:) soo cute that garth agreed with you.. doesnt it just melt you heart!!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I really love your's too, so I will definitely have to keep reading! How long have you been married?

You guys are so cute! Flying makes me NOT want kids -- even though I want them (I think seeing kids on planes, esp. when tired, is seeing them at their worst). If you like kids while on plane you just love kids! :)
How cute! And just so you know, you never really can afford kids! Yu just make it work! ;D
We are the same way!!!
Ryan and I do that as well, when we go shopping! Today I we saw a couple of cute kids out and about and I pointed to my belly and frowned-- and he laughed and said "I know! But not yet." :)
aww that is definitely sweet and i totally understand ... i used to do the same thing. But you are right, you should enjoy your time together, traveling and doing anything you want, anytime you want.
Your have a little one before you know it and then you'll be completely ready.
sounds like you guys have a great time together!
awww! Your time will come! I feel the same way.
You guys are going to be such GREAT parents!!
reading my blog should be good birth control for you!!!
We feel the same way. Almost all of our friends have babies and are "urging" us to have one too... but we just got married, we're trying to get our finances in order, and we would also like some "us" time before we make at least an 18 year commitment...But all of the babies are very very cute...
I tagged you on my blog. Check it out!
I tagged you!! I feel you.. but I definitely want to enjoy being young and able to pick up and go whenever.
