Playing catch up

Most importantly, I missed blogging about my dad's birthday last Friday while I was away. So I want to give a GIANT shoutout to my dad - He is the best dad in the world!
Thank you, dadly, for all the love and support you give me!
Thank you for showing me what a Godly man truly is.
Thank you for all the wisdom you have given and are yet to give me.
Thank you for your generousity and kindness.
Thank you for teaching me Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Thank you for showing me what a Christ-centered marriage looks like.
Thank you for all you have done in my life, as well as Garth's. We cherish you and love you!

So sorry this has taken so long, but some amazing blog friends have given me awards and tagged me so I need to recognize!

Sweet Brea gave me this award! I adore her blog so please check it out.
The lovely Tasha gave me this award!
The rules for this award are to list 5 addictions, so here are mine:
1. Sushi. Did I mention I could eat this EVERYDAY?
2. Coffee. Garth makes the best coffee and I can't start my morning without it.
3. Pineapple. I can't get enough of this fruit!
4. Praying with Garth each morning. God is truly using this time to bless us and our relationship. It is stronger than it's ever been! I cherish this time together with him!
5. Reading your blogs. You all make me laugh and cry. You give encouragement and inspire me and I am so glad I met all of you!

Following Him gave me this award. I am so flattered! She is so sweet, wise and has an good head on her shoulders. Visit her blog, you will love it.
Navigating the Quaterlife and With Love from New Orleans tagged me in this fun game! I love these blogs! I think "With Love from New Orleans" and I were separated from birth because we are so alike, though she has better fashion sense.
The rules are you must share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself, so here goes nothing:
1. My bed must be made when I go to bed or I can't sleep. This sometimes means making my bed before getting into it.
2. I don't wear heels because they hurt my feet and I can't walk in them.
3. I loathe snow and dream of the day I can move to a state where snow does not exist.
4. I don't like writing in pencil.
5. I drink eight glasses of water a day.
6. I'm not into jewelry. The only jewelry I wear are my diamond earrings Garth gave me, my engagement ring, and my wedding ring.
Meghan tagged me in this fun Candy Cane Questions game!
1. What is your favorite Christmas Movie? It's a Wonderful Life
2. Favorite Christmas Song? O Holy Night
3. Favorite Holiday Memory? Watching "Charlie Brown Christmas" and my dad proclaiming "The only cartoon with the true meaning of Christmas!" every year.
4. What kind of cookie/treat do you like to make? Bake? Me? Hmm Garth and I made candy cane cookies and that was fun!
5. Have you ever made an igloo? Heck yes! My brothers and I did this A LOT.
6. Do you love Starbucks? YES.
Gingerbread Latte or Eggnog Latte? Eww none of the above, carmel macchioto please.
7. What makes the perfect Snowman? Sticks, the snowman needs arms!
8. Best gift you have ever given? Homemade cookbook.
9. Best gift you have ever received? Gosh this is hard. I don't think I've recieved a bad gift!
10. What is the snowman's name on Rudolph? I have no idea, ha!
11.Silver or Gold? My answer is the same as Meghans: If were talking jewelry Silver--otherwise always Gold
12. What is your favorite Christmas decoration? The white Christmas lights on my mom's staircase - so pretty.
13. What's your Christmas decorating style? Classic white lights.
14. Do you hang stockings? Yes, thanks to Garth buying us some last year!
15. How many days do you celebrate Christmas? Two.
16. What do you want this year? Target and Ikea giftcards so I can buy fun stuff for our new home!
17. What was your favorite ornament on the tree as a child? The angel because my dad would take turns lifting us up to put the angel on the top of the tree. Even when my brothers were all grown up, he lifted them up to put it up there - so. funny.
My question: What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
I tag...whoever wants to do this - It's fun!

Such a sweet post about your dad!
My favorite Christmas tradition is getting our family pictures made every year at the Peabody hotel in downtown Memphis. They always have the most gorgeous Christmas decor and the whole family looks forward to this!

You are so lucky to have your dad with you. My dad passed away 8-31-1999, which also happens to be my hubby's birthday. You are very lucky that you were able to have a father daughter dance at your wedding and still have his constant love and support. I am so jealous.

Aw, I love how much you love your daddy. I love mine that much too :).

I can't wear heels either. It's because I have scoliosis, but they are just uncomfortable!
